Infiltration

-Aecxis' P.O.V.-

I woke up as something was poking at my ribs. I looked down to see what it was. It was Max's elbow. I frowned.

Instead of waking him, I changed into a shadow and left the room. It was nearly eleven o'clock in the morning, so I was going for breakfast.

Max can get up in his own sweet time. I thought.

I changed into a human again, this time with proper clothes on rather than a night dress and sleeping shorts.

I yawned and stretched as I entered the closest kitchen.

"Morning!" I said cheerfully.

"Morning Alecxis." Aidan greeted. "What do you want?" 

"Can I please have some pancakes?" I asked innocently.

"You know your not allowed." Aidan replied sternly.

I pouted in annoyance.

"Well, if I'm not allowed," I started. "Then catch me if you can!" I cried, running out of the kitchen with two plates full of pancakes. I giggled. 

What's happening?!? Don't tell me... I looked down at my body.

"MAX LIGHTNING!!!!!!!" my voice was heard all through out the building if H.Q. "I'm gunna kill him!" I cursed. "But first," I licked my lips and ate the chocolate covered pancakes.

I was mad at Max because another magic of his is Age Manipulation. Same as mine but I can't change my age if he did it.

No wonder I was acting like a child!

"Alecxis? Come out! We need to talk!" Jack called from down the hallway.

Ugh. What now? I asked eating the last pancake before dumping the dishes into a pocket dimension.

"What?" I came out from behind the door, now a five year old version of myself.

"Alecxis? What the heck happened?" Aidan asked, coming up behind Jack.

"Max." I said.

They both nodded. 

"Come on, we have a meeting to get to." Jack told me, taking my small hand.

"No. I want to get changed to fifteen again before we go. I'm not going to be a five year old at a grown up's meeting!" I gave out. I may still have the mind of my fifteen year old me, I can act like a child unconsciously.

"Max is going to be there. We'll call him aside and get him to undo the spell." Aidan reassured me.

We were at the meeting room. Max was called outside to undo the spell.

"I didn't do that!" he said.

"You're the only one who uses that magic other than me and I had a Magic Power Restrainer on!" I yelled. "Sorry.... I hate being five, that's all." I gave Max an apologetic look for shouting at him.

"Alright. Hold still." 

Max preformed the spell and after five minutes, I was beck to being fifteen.

"Thank you!" I hugged my boyfriend and whispered to him. "I'm sorry I yelled at you Max."

"It's fine. I understand why you did it." he whispered back before we broke apart and went inside.

"This meeting has officially begun!" H.Q. leader announced. "The meeting is about some disturbing information we have found." he paused then continued. "A sky from outside H.Q. have infiltrated the building. We DO NOT know the reasons why he or she has come here or who they are but we DO know what they one of their objectives are."

"What is it?" I asked a little too eagerly.

Aidan kicked me in the shin for talking out loud during this. I kicked him back.

"We believe that the sky has been using a type of barrier magic. I say this because our scientists have been picking up on these barriers. So far, the analysis has shown that it is to keep adults and children from mixing. We do not understand the reason behind this, but we do know one thing for sure. This is not child's play. This is a real problem." our leader finished.

"Does that mean if you're eighteen and over, you are in a parallel world to the one we live in? So like kids up to seventeen are in one and people eighteen and over are in another?" I questioned.

"Yes. Exactly. How do you know this Alecxis?" the leader asked me.

"Well, it makes sense for that to be the case. Also, this happened once in I think a Batman universe. Can't remember which one but I know that something like this has happened before." I explained,

H.Q.'s leader thought for a second.

"Sky! Search through the files for something that is like our own problem. Spread the search to all universes and dimensions. Casandra! Help Sky." was the decision that our leader came up with.

"Excuse me Sir but can myself and Alecxis do our own research? Separate from the rest?" Max asked.

"Yes... But will you do the research Max?" the leader questioned very aware of the fact that Max tends to slack off.

"I-" Max began before I cut him off.

"He will. I promise." I said before Max could reply. He glared at me but I ignored.

When the meeting was over, I got Aidan to take the restrainer off. 

"Thanks." I said, twisting my wrist around.

"No problem. If you need me, Jack or James, just text. Ok?" Aidan told me.

"Yep!" I was already off and catching up with Max. "You sure you want to do this?" 

"Yes. I'm sure." Max replied.

Max and I were going to do some investigating and digging and snooping around. We had a special note from the leader to show to anyone who questioned what we were doing, though I doubt anyone will because of mine and Max's rank here in H.Q.

We did this for about half a week. We didn't get any new information unfortunately.

"How hard is finding information?!" Max yelled into his pillow.  

"Calm down." I said, patting his back. "You know that when someone covers up a trail very cleverly, they usually end up making a new one, right?" 

"No. I didn't know." Max replied, turning to face me.

"Well, it's true. And I'm sure we're hot on the trail. Just give it time." I told him. "It's late so try and get some sleep." I yawned as I said this.

"Goodnight, X."

"Night Max."

We kept searching for another half a week. Nothing. When Max was about to give up, I found something. Something that tells us what is going to happen...
