Although Mia was feeling uneasy about the whole situation, her neutral expression did not manage to convince Zach "I know, its difficult but its going help you". She looked up at him and reluctantly admitted her defeat by saying "alright". How long could she run away from those memories anyway, it was time she brought a closure to them, and six years were far too long to harbor them.
So here she was in the ever reliable Volvo, with Zach and watching the all to familiar road to her home, Kindheart territory. The Kindheart territory had the most beautiful forest surrounding it , there was also an outer layer of forest which was mysterious just like its famous inhabitants the Wind Wolves. Most packs would have been uneasy with this arrangement and there were countless battles to prove how Alphas waged wars when they felt threatened.
During the entire time the packs lived, never did one pack show any signs of aggression to the other. There was an unwritten law amongst both the pack that the forest cover would be shared by both the packs and they would look for each other. However only a selected few were aware of the real reason, and Mia was one of them.
As she pressed her face against the window, she felt the forest indeed reflected her current state of gloomy weather. " It will be alright, Mia", soothed Zach. She nodded and squinted against the glass to catch that magnificent streak of grey that flashed across the forest. Soon enough, the grey was joined by silver , red, brown gold and all other hues a wolf could be.
"They have missed you", mused Zach , he was still awestruck by the appearance of the grey back. His eyes glowed with pride and admiration as he saw them trailing the car.
"I still don't believe it.", Mia murmured. She felt it was quite impossible for any of them to be so welcoming, yes it was indeed Uncle Phil's doing , and she felt herself relax.
Stephen Kindheart's eyes glazed in the middle of his conversation, with his dearest mate. But it did not bother Helena, as she identified the smile on his face, and the tears just proved, that it was important enough. She pulled him along , and Stephen who momentarily lost his balance raced with his wife like the school children they were once across the winding hallways and stairs to be at the front door.
