Epilogue

" I now pronounce you Man and Wife.", a gruff voice announced, in the midst of hooting and howling, as the new married couple kissed. They turned to look at their family, and the young Alpha winced at the heavily injured guests in attendance.

Master Ben announced ,"I present you the new Alpha KindHeart and Luna Kindheart." and smiled at Alpha Chase KindHeart, who was smiling nervously at the crowd.

"You will do fine Alpha Chase. Trust me." reassured the Alpha with a pat. He was optimistic about the young Alpha, he had foreseen the future. He nodded at the previous Alpha couple, they exuded old world charm, and moved towards them. "I am missing Phillip." , Stephen mumbled, while Helena squeezed his hand.

"He would have been happy.", Ben answered, and saw Shawn looking highly uncomfortable at the appreciative glances from young girls. "How is Shawn  doing ? "

"It suits him actually, he doesn't have to live with nasty questions about his lunatic father. The Wind Wolves accepted him readily. Apparently they recognized him as Philip's kin.", Stephen answered.

"That explains why, he killed his father. I think Philip's mother had some connection with the Royal Family. I dont know the specifics. We already know Shawn's mother was celebrated healer Seraphina SilverMist and well his lunatic Royal father.", Ben continued looking at the wedding party, as guests moved to open reception area. Summer was lovely at the KindHeart territory. It was refreshing.

"Do you regret Ben ?", Helena asked the wise man. Master Ben was reluctant to answer but he smiled and said, " Yes. I lost my pack, but I raised Edward and the boys. I was supposed to protect them, from evil. I failed them."

"No you didn't.  Mia would be angry if she heard you.", Jon joined the conversation. People avoided him, his face was scarred , parting gift from the Royal , with silver tipped nails. Shawn had later recounted when he was kidnapped, the rogues had used his blood injected it to their wounds and left him to die. Shawn had inherited his mother's advanced healing properties, but his mother encouraged him to be a skilled warrior than a healer. He was not immune to silver poisoning but it sort of delayed his otherwise lycan abilities.

"There you are Jon, its time for your medicine.", Zach passed him some tablets, Jon looked at him suspiciously,  "I know they are sleeping pills Zach, I refuse to have them." Zach looked exasperated, and finally located  , "Mia , Jon won't have them. We should try the hard way."

"No you loon. I will not have it anyway. "

"Are you sure Jon ?", a kind voice asked, Jon turned around and saw Mia walking slowly with a bandaged arm, and young boy in the other hand, " Even if the kid tells me, I'm not having it period."

"Alright. You won't have it Jon. Gio baby why don't you give Uncle Jon a orange candy ?"

"Give me the candy now boy." Jon snatched from a startled baby Gio, who started to cry, " Oh dont cry Gio, I promise I'll bring a whole lot of toys." As Mia was consoling the baby boy, Edward came in with baby girl in his arms, and ruffled the boy's head. Little Gio started giggling and said  , "Pa". Ed's eyes glistened with joy.

"How are they doing Edward ? "

Edward turned around to see  Stephen had asked him, he shrugged and said  "Its too difficult for them to understand that their parents are in coma. Mia and I will raise them as our own, when they are old enough, we can decide on their future."

" That's right Dad. I just want both of them to have a happy childhood. We will take care of them. Its sad when they cry, and clutch onto us when they hear we have to go out. Fate has not been fair with my babies.", Mia said with a frown.

" Mia you spiked the candy with medicines. Your so cruel. I'm so sleepy.... ", Jon started slurring and Zach immediately placed him on a stretcher and said , " Thank you Luna."

" Its nothing Zach. You helped us with everything.", Mia said happily.

"I couldn't help but agree. You were the first one to understand this Royal mess. Look at their appalling behavior, they offered their condolences! Gah !", boomed a familiar voice.

"Uncle Phil." 

"Brother Phil."

"Welcome my friend."

" I am so happy honey, Phil is back. "

Philip found himself being swarmed up in multiple hugs and kisses from family. Even baby Gio and his sister Livy sneaked in kisses and started giggling.

Grrrr.. Grrr....

" Why does it bother you Pest, if they shower me with love.", Philip demanded and then said, "I thought  we had the mad hatter, but I couldn't believe the rest of the pompous family.  Sorry Helena but its true, especially with your Uncle. It took me four days to explain all the cross-linkages. They still want to know why the Knight's were targeted , even I am curious, Why?"

Shawn broke his silence and said, "Luna Laura's  mother was from SilverMist, and one my mother's closest friends. When Luna Olivia and Xavier was killed Laura became suspicious. She  probably realized it late and went to inform Alpha Michael."

" How do you know boy? "

" We found a old diary not so far away from Laura. Although the pages were shredded. But we saw the SilverMist crest.", Zach confirmed the theory.

" Let's go and see Chase and Rosie, its been quite a while." Stephen announced and helped his brother on the wheelchair and carted him off to the reception area. Philip enjoyed the attention of his affectionate brother, and gossiped away happily.

Edward looked at Mia and said softly, " I still have nightmares Mia bear." She giggled  and said , " I promise to hug you when you scream Ed."

Ed engulfed Mia in a possessive hug and felt her emotions, of joy, happiness. He whispered in her ear

 "My mate. Mine."
