The Kindhearted Luna

Chapter 31

The Wind Wolves were a force to be reckoned with, and Alpha Philip's senses were astute, he did not hesitate to eliminate the alpha rogues. There was something powerful about these rogues, they had a distinct lemony scent, not the usual, they functioned like a undercover pack. His wolf had transformed into mercenary, and he went for the clean kill. 

"Alpha , they are healing faster, than we thought."

"Don't hold back with your silver charm Beta."

They didn't. It was raining silver tipped arrows, from the trees above. Alpha Philip did not forget his mistake when he had managed to rescue Mia, and he howled in joy. Then his wolf detected that Mia was running, he dashed after her,only to be surprised by that hated Lycan-man. He did not hesitate to strike the Lycan, Shawn had expected it, as he turned and blocked the attack, and had Philip in a neck-lock.

"Alpha Wind.. Its me Beta Shawn. We have to get Mia back."

"I don't believe you Pest. Wait a minute, you don't smell like lemons, and your face is alright."

" I am a part of BlueMoon remember. Why should my face be any different? "

"Oh my god. Your his son. Mia... "

Shawn let go off Philip, and rushed off to Mia's direction. Philip commanded , "Beta kill them all with silver." He did not wait to hear his Beta's response, but it became clear, Mia remembered her attacker.

"Uncle Phil,  We are in control. I will proceed to Knight territory then.",Chase mind linked soon.

" Climb the trees and meet us near the  borders."

Mia was shivering, she could see  three heavily battered wolves fighting the rogues relentlessly. They were getting cornered, but they held fort. The mysterious Silver wolf had managed inch closer to her, while Alpha Jon was covering him. She was thoroughly disgusted with the leader , who was crackling  like a mad man, she was furious and spitted at him.

Slaaat. She winced at the pain on her  left cheek, and then she  detected his lemon perfume. Shawn was not the real enemy , but this leader. She started laughing , the man looked at her puzzled, but she started cackling and her eyes burned with anger, and said,

" A Royal family member. You want the crown, you destroyed all the alpha royal bloodlines. correct?"

"Isn't it a genius plan Mia? I killed your wolf, pity it would have been powerful one, not to mention perfect for my young ones."

Ed's wolf Grey howled murder listening to the demented man.  With the remaining energy he had, he threw the last rogue out of way,and moved closer to Mia.

"You know I am quite surprised Edward, that your wolf and pack are actually fighting today. You should have been easily terminated by my wolves."

There was a bark of laughter and Jon answered, 

"Well you thought wrong loony Royal.. You have muscles, and Mia has brains."

"Ah.. I underestimated the legendary  traveling doctor. So your a healer Mia. Too bad Michael failed to realize your worth, isn't it ?", as one his fingers stroked her cheek, Mia tensed.

"Don't touch her." Jon shouted, and Graham attacked the Royal's back, but was thrown off with easily, except the woods were filled with agony and a ominous crunch. She saw Graham's wolf not responding, and Mia tried to get up to reach him.

"Ah. no Mia, I won't let you. Besides he just fractured his vertebrae, and should heal soon. Now why don't we tell each other story or there will be consequences."

Mia did not move a muscle, she did not want to risk anyone getting injured, so she asked ,

"Why did you attack Michael and Edward?"

"Easy one, these two would be the only ones leading a rebellion against me, so they had to go. I started with Olivia, she was part Royal, she would instigate Edward for the rebellion. She was becoming suspicious of the alpha rogue wars, she smelt royal blood in them, she had gone to Laura, and I had her eliminated. She could never tell Laura , what she wanted."

"Why did you kill Michael's brother?", Jon asked.

"You are really stupid for a man rumored to be genius. He heard Olivia's screams, and went in to save her, of course I had to kill him. It served my purpose, BlueMoon and Knight pack were grieving. BlueMoon was at its weakest, without Luna for a long time, until you joined them."

"It was a brilliant plan, but flawed." Edward taunted.

"Yes, I had not expected all of you here, but it doesn't matter I will still get the crown, while you people will die on this cold ground."

"No they won't .", boomed Philip's voice. Mia could not decide wether she was relieved or horrified to see Uncle Phil, he would get hurt. 

"Philip my old friend, see who I have here, your niece Mia... If only you would have given me your pack."

Shocked gasps could be heard across the clearing. The Royal laughed, "You mean none of you knew he was an Alpha, a very powerful one.. too bad he is  bastard." Philip charged at the lunatic, and made a clean swipe, only his underbelly  also sported an ragged injury. He fell down.

"Nooo. Uncle Phil." and Mia crawled towards him, but she screeched, her hair was being pulled up by the Lunatic, he said , " Thought I told you about the consequences.", and with that Mia felt a silver knife balanced precariously against her throat.

Grrrr.... Grrrr. 

As he turned to look at the new intruder, Alpha Michael came shooting towards Mia, and grabbed her  but before he could make step, he fell on the ground, Mia saw the knife on his back. She fell on her knees and she started working on auto pilot, she pressed Michael's wound on one side and injected the anti-silver shots at multiple sites around the injury,and pulled out the silver knife. Michael was not moving or breathing.  She started bawling like a child.

"I told you about the consequences Mia. You have to blame yourself, how many will die for you Mia?"

She raised her head and whispered , " None.."

"Prove it to me and join me Mia. You will be the queen." The Royal walked towards her, grabbed her by the hair and dragged her like a rag doll towards the centre of the clearing.

" Two down and Two to go. Tell me which would be the first."

A flash of silver surrounded them, and the leader was alarmed.

"Impossible. I killed your pack."

"Wrong as usual your Highness. I Alpha Zach SilverMist will kill you. Now Mia."

Mia's adrenaline spiked she stabbed the silver knife right at her captor's stomach. There was a searing pain along her right shoulder blade, the Royal Lycan had attacked her. She could feel drowning, but she tried to keep her eyes open, she whispered , " Ed... Grey.. I .. Love. you.."

Her eyes recorded everything in slow motion, she saw Zach viciously attack the Royal, and pulled out the  left shoulder bones. Jon attacked the man from the back, Warrior Bruce swiped at his right side. Uncle Phil crushed his legs. Ed's wolf did not move from her. He looked at her, inspected her injuries, and started licking her wounds, she wanted to say something to Grey.

There was a sudden calm, Mia smiled , finally the Royal was killed. But her eyes widened when she saw that the lunatic Royal, was inching towards Ed with a silver knife. Grey sensed him and he turned right at the moment when the knife was about to strike, the knife plunged his stomach and Grey swiped the man's stomach. Grey was falling backwards and he flipped himself before hitting Mia, he whimpered at her, and turned human and whispered to her ," You can't die Mia. Your my kindhearted Luna." and marked her on the left collar bone.

She could hear a the familiar growl and then howls. Beta Shawn had arrived. She smiled, the war was finally over. She stroked Edward's head and closed her eyes.
