Sam's P.O.V

I fiddled with my phone case as I lay back on the couch watching some cartoon channel that my brother was watching earlier on in the day. My day was pretty boring so far. I basically just stayed in and ate all day but that was ok with me. I picked my phone up for probably the twentieth time in the last five minutes, checking for any texts but there wasn't any. I sighed, loudly, throwing my head back on the arm rest and lifting my legs up into the air. I stared at my odd socks for a while, wiggling my toes around and trying to make shapes with my feet. I giggled at how cartoon-ish my socks were, one was neon yellow and the other was neon pink.

I hear the doorbell go off and get up off the couch, pulling my pajama shorts down after they had rode up from being on the couch all day. I skipped out of the sitting room, glancing into the mirror as I went by. I knew Calum was coming over because he texted me like two hours ago but I didn't really feel like I had to get changed for him.

''Sup'' He greeted as I opened the door. I was always so amused by his lisp that he's had for as long as I've known him. I haven't know Calum since childhood or anything but we've known eachother for about three years and we became really good friends within the second year. Luke was the one that introduced him into our group and then Molly came in and then it was Rylie. The rest of us were friends since primary school.

I let him in and turn around to walk back to the sitting room, slipping on the tiles and falling forward. I manage to catch myself with my hands but not really. I slowly get up and Calum steps over me, heading for the sitting room, laughing to himself.

''You're an idiot'' he chuckles. I let out a sarcastic laugh before standing up and joining him on the couch. ''Actually I'm guna go get a drink'' Calum announces, rising again and walking into the kitchen.

''MY MUM JUST GOT COKE, IT'S IN THE FRIDGE IF YOU WANT SOME'' I yell to him. I hear an enthusiastic noise in response and Calum runs back in and sets a can down on the table in the middle of the room. I fee him sit behind me, on the armrest, watching the TV for a couple minutes before proceeding on to do what I really wanted him to.

''Sammy...'' He sings into my ear, kissing the area below it. I giggle a little at how childish yet experienced he is. I find myself shutting my eyes as Calum trails his kisses along my cheekbone and towards my lips, planting a lingering one on them. I take it in as he rises from the armrest and lifts one leg over my body, which is laid out over the couch. I feel Calum lean on his knee, which is placed beside my leg, as he slides his hand underneath my thigh, lifting it up. Then, of course, my stupid mind clicks. I snap my eyes open, pushing Calum gently off of me, while sitting up. I can feel the regret in my chest as he sits back on my knees, staring me down, questioningly. I carefully wait for him to stick out his bottom lip at me and when he does I let out a loud laugh.

''What's wrong?'' Calum asks, placing his hand on my thigh.

''Nothing's wrong. I just don't think we should do that anymore...'' I blurt out, pulling my hair onto one shoulder. Calum narrows his eyes at my response.

''Why not?'' He asks, hurt in his voice like a little kid. I shrug my shoulders before speaking again.

''What happened in school on Monday got me thinking.'' I start ''I just don't think it's a good idea to be lying to Luke and the others...''

Calum's eyes flick down to my fingers as he thinks about what I've said. I sigh in relief as he nods slowly, looking back up to meet my eyes, shrugging.

''We're not really lying though. We're just...not telling'' He explains, giving me a cheesy grin. I shove him in the chest, smiling a little.

''Sorry!'' He says, between laughing ''I guess you're right...'' He smiles a little, pulling gently at the bottom on my pajama shorts, playfully. Calum really is like a cute little kid most of the time. He's so innocent one second and then the next second... he can be a completely different person but I guess that's what the appeal is.

''Now get off me, my knees hurt'' I state, hitting him on the hand that's messing with my shorts. Calum quickly stands, grabbing my legs and lifting them before sitting down and laying them back on his lap. He lays his head back on the couch and I reach out and feel his hair as he watches a cartoon that's on the TV. After a couple of minutes of silence, Calum suddenly turns to me, one of his eyebrows raised.

''Why are we watching cartoons?'' He asks, making me laugh as he snatches the remote out of my hand.

We were completely back to being normal friends within seconds.
