Sam's P.O.V

''I'm so excited for the Halloween fair!'' Molly squealed as I got my books out of my locker. It was Friday and there was a Halloween fair on that night. It happened every year but this year there's meant to be alot of new things to do. They were fun to go to but most of the time we ended up ditching and hanging out somewhere different. I nod, trying to be as enthusiastic as Molly. I locked my locker and bent to pick up my bag.

''Hey'' I hear Luke's voice behind me ''We'll see you guys at the fair, yeah?'' I turn around and nod while Molly says 'yeah' and watch as Luke and Calum wave and continue walking out of school with their big group of friends. Once me and Molly are ready, we hurry out of the school gates and rush to Molly's house. We're really hyper like we always are when we go to these types of things.

''What'r you wearing?'' Molly asks, biting the head off a gummibear and putting the rest of it on her desk (a weird thing she does). I turn my gear bag over and empty out all the items of clothing that I brought with me.
''I'm thinking my denim, high-waisted Levis shorts and this cropped tank top?'' I hold up the plain black, cut off crop top. Molly gives me two thumbs up, finishing off the gummibear.
''Wear this, too'' she flings a black and red snapback at me and I throw it on the bed, nodding. I shove three jelly's into my mouth, dancing to some random song off 8tracks that's playing off Molly's laptop.

After about an hour of getting ready, Molly and I run down the stairs, grabbing our phones and everything. I pull on my all-black vans and open the front door. Molly runs out infront of me, shouting bye to her parents, and I close the door behind us. Molly lives really close to the park where the fair is held every year so it only takes about 5 minutes to get there. There is definitely alot more things to do than last year. I scan the whole area, looking at all the new stalls and rides. I greet a few girls from my class as we make our way through the middle of the excitement, looking for the others.

''Mol, Sam!'' Me and Molly both turn in the direction of the voice. It's just starting to get dark out but I can still make out Luke, Shane and Rylie, standing by some prize stall. As we get closer, the rest of them come into view. We greet them all, me and Rylie having a quick catch up as Calum and Shane try and beat the stall game. Rylie looks amazing as usual, wearing black skinny jeans, a white logo t-shirt and brown uggs. Her hair is up in a ponytail but it still reaches down to the middle of her back. She's wearing fake, black nerd glasses and alot of different coloured wrist bands. Luke is wearing blue shorts, all black vans like mine and a white V-neck. Calum is wearing black skinny jeans that weren't too skinny, white converse and a navy t-shirt. He also had a black beanie, that said 'hype' across the front, pulled over his hair but leaving a bit at the front stick out. He always dresses good, I have to admit.

We all have a short conversation about all the new stalls and decide which rides to go on first. The sky is completely dark and the only lights are the harsh, white park lights. After being forced onto a few rides with the boys, we finally go and get some food. It's a thing they like to do, make the youngest go on all the scariest rides so I have the pleasure of experiencing it every year. Good thing I'm not really that scared of rollercoasters anymore. We all walk to the popcorn stall. I walk with Molly and Rylie and the boys follow close behind us.

Calum's P.O.V

''Dude one of us have to get Sam in the kissing booth'' Shane exclaims. I furrow my eyebrows but the look the other way so they don't see. I don't like the idea of anyone taking Sam into the kissing booth just for fun. Even though it's something that I would do with any other girl. I know we get her to do all the rides every year because she's the youngest but is this not a bit too far?

''I vote Calum!'' Luke says almost straight away, raising his hand. I smack him on the arm but he just laughs.
''C'mon Cal. I dare you'' Shane adds, narrowing his eyes in my direction. I gulp, my mouth suddenly becoming dry. If I refuse I know they'll think something's up. 'It's only a bit of fun' I remind myself over and over again. Eventually I nod my head and the two of them cheer, high-fiving eachother and punching me in the arm.

Just as we get to the food stall, I grab Sam's arm, her turning around to face me. Shane and Luke join Molly and Rylie who are watching, curiously. Luke whispers something in Rylie's ear and a smile spreads across her's and Molly's faces as she passes on the message. I move my focus back to Sam who is looking at me, confused but amused. I loosen my grip on her arm a bit and slide my hand down, leaning into her ear.

''Let's do the kissing booth'' I whisper in Sam's ear, trying not to sound as nervous as I actually am. Sam looks at me like I'm kidding.
''What?!'' She laughs in disbelief. I glance at the others over her shoulder who seem to be waiting for some result. I shrug my shoulders, scratching the back of my neck.
''C'mon. it's just a bit of fun, Sammy'' I assure her. She laughs, throwing her head back, before looking over her shoulder at the others.

''Fine!'' She says, still smiling and giving the others a middle finger. ''But I'm not doing this every year just so you know.'' I laugh, relaxing completely. I hear the others cheering and wolf whistling as we start making our way towards the stall. I observe as Sam turns around and makes a face at our friends. She's so cute.

We line up for a good 5 minutes but it's not as awkward as I thought it would be. We mostly end up giggling and laughing the entire time.
''This is mental'' Sam says between laughs.
''I know'' I shrug, laughing along with her. It is just a kissing booth after all, it's nothing serious. Once we reach the front of the line, I hand a sour looking man the money and wait as the last two people step out of the booth, looking quite pleased with themselves. I recognise one of them as Hayden from my maths class. I poke him in the arm and he turns around, grinning at me, proudly.
''Cal, mate!'' He greets, giving me a bro hug. I watch as he glances at Sam who is holding onto my arm and fixing her shirt. Once his eyes meet mine again, they're shining with amusement. ''It was bound to happen anyways!'' He yells, patting me on the shoulder and following the girl he was with. I open my mouth to argue but he's already gone.

******************************************************

''Alright, you've got 30 seconds and that's all, no more. Got it?'' The angry man explained in equally angry voice. Me and Sam just not and I lead us into the booth, sitting down and adjusting my hat. Sam sits, coughing and pulling her hair onto one shoulder.
''Ok'' I say, trying to avoid an awkward silence. Sam's eyes move upwards to meet mine, a shy smile appearing on her lips. I feel something weird in my stomach.
''Ok'' Sam says back to me, simply. I glance up at the timer, making sure it hasn't started yet, when I feel Sam's hand on the back of my neck, her fingers sliding under my hat a bit. I move my eyes to hers again, eyeing her suspiciously. I feel as if her eyes are reading mine as the corners of her mouth flick up into that smile that I've grown fond of. I raise an eyebrow, turning my head to face her again. I feel myself get a bit awkward as she keeps her eyes on me, so I look down to my hands, smiling.

''You're cute''
Her words bring me to face her again, the smile on my face gone only to appear again, seconds later.
''So are you'' I respond, returning the compliment. I can feel the blood rushing to my cheeks, turning them a deep shade of red. My words seem to shock her as much as her's shocked me and we end up laughing again. I lean forwards, placing my hands on the seat on either side of Sam's thighs. Our faces are barely inches apart and I can feel her warm breath on my lips. Sam brings her arms to rest on my shoulders, gently pulling my face towards hers. My eyes move from her eyes to her mouth a countless amount of times within the few seconds that we sit there.

''You two ready in there?'' I hear the same angry voice yell from outside. I part my lips to reply but Sam beats me to it.
''Yeah'' She says simply, a cheeky smile on her lips, before she closes that tiny space that was left between us. I feel like my heart is doing backflips as the her lips press against mine. I've never felt that way kissing anyone before. I lean further into this kiss, our lips moving slowly. It's nothing like the way we kissed before but it's better.

I lift my hand to Sam's cheek, turning my head to the other side as she does the same. I hold Sam's bottom lip inbetween my teeth, tugging on it gently. As a result, she slides her hand under my beanie, tangling her fingers in my hair. I feel Sam open her mouth a bit, urging me on. Obliging, I slide my tongue in her mouth while pulling her close to my chest. My hand slides to the back of her neck while my other one rests on the small of her back. Sam tries to move closer to me, shifting forward on the bench. I try and fight off a smile when I think about how she wants me as much as I want her.

''Alright, time's up!'' I hear the big man yell from outside the curtain. We both pull back and I can't help but smile as Sam plants one single kiss on my lips before sitting back and smiling. I sit back and forget that there are people waiting outside for us.

''When did we make this a habit?'' Sam jokes, putting her hands between her knees.
I nod and scratch the back of my neck. This is Sam. Sammy. My best friend for two years. And I have really strong feelings for her. I'm supposed to be pushing my feelings away and this did not help at all.

Sam's P.O.V

I feel butterflies in my stomach after kissing Calum. I've never kissed anyone like that before and I'm...sad it ended? I try and shake the thoughts from my head. I don't feel that way about Calum.

yeah you do, Sammy

The voice in my head taunts me and I try to ignore it but...what if it's right? This will mess up everything. First I'm getting mad when Calum talks about kissing me to other people and then I'm getting jealous at the thought of him with other girls and now this?

Calum rises from his seat, fixing his hat, and then steps out of the booth without speaking another word to me. I stand up and follow, trying to catch up. Calum looks over his shoulder for half a second, checking that I'm following, before continuing to walk to the others. I feel my face form into a frown. Why is he in a bad mood? He's the one who asked me to go into the booth with him. Oh god I'm such an idiot. I called him cute and everything. The butterflies in my stomach leave and are replaced by a sick feeling.

Once we join the others there's a bit of shoving around and cheering and 'ooh's and 'aah's. I watch carefully as Luke asks Calum 'how it was' and Calum simply shrugs his shoulders and shoves his hands into his pockets.
