Flirting

Harry's POV

            I'm really not looking forward to Geo today. I really want to see Blue, but I have to fuck off. Sophia is right, I need to leave her alone. She deserves someone who can treat her right. Even though I did what I did for a reason. But I know she shouldn't be with Brent. Especially after the shit he tried to pull yesterday.
            I get to clean the fucking cafeteria everyday for a week because of him. He just gets a pass because he's a rich bastard. He deserved it, he was being a dickhead. I begged Principal Ross not to suspend me. That's the last thing I need my mum to worry about.
           Louis and I walk into Geo and I feel everyone look at me. Blue is looking down at her paper, avoiding eye contact with me. Good. I have to be a dick to her in order to make sure we stay away from each other. Even though I don't want to. I have to because I love her.
           I sit down next to her and my heart starts racing, but I ignore it. Yesterday when I touched her hand when I picked up her books, her breathing changed. I still have an effect on her, she just doesn't know it.
           I'm glad that car crash lost that memory for her. I put her through a bunch of shit. I'm glad she won't have to remember it. I look at the board and feel Sophia's eyes on me. I look at her and nod my head. I got it damn it. I say with my eyes. She looks away and focuses on her pencil.
          " Today we're going to the library to do research with your partners, so everyone go to the library and get started." Mr. Collins says, getting out papers. Fuck. I don't know how I'm going to stay away from her if she's my partner.
           I grab my stuff and walk with Louis to the library. " Are you really going to leave her alone?" He asks. I nod. " I have to. She deserves better." Louis shakes his head and looks down at the floor, opening his mouth to say something, but he doesn't.
           We get to the library and I grab a computer and find Blue. She's sitting at a table with Madison and Sophia. I sit down next to her and put my bag next to me. Sophia rolls her eyes when I sit down. Bitch. I open my laptop and turn it on.
         " So what do you want to do for the project?" Blue asks me, looking at me. I shrug. " No idea. I don't really care." I say blankly. The bright, sweet look in her eyes go away. She looks at her computer.
       " We could do the state of California?" I shrug again. She gives me a sad look as she types on her computer. I hate doing this to her. She's so sweet and innocent, and I'm just being a dick to her.
          I look up at Madison. You know what you have to do Harold. I lean over towards Madison whose looking down at her computer. She looks at me. " Why are you staring at me?" She asks. " Because your beautiful." The words sting me to say them to her and not Blue.
            Madison tries to suppress and smile but smirks. " Eh, your not so bad yourself." I fake a laugh to seem like I'm amused. Madison is a pretty girl not going to lie. She has long brown hair and beautiful green eyes. But she's not the girl sitting next to me.
           The whole class was just me and Madison firting. I managed to get her number, so I might text her after school. I just need to keep up this act for 6 months and I won't ever see her again. Blue too, but I hope that doesn't happen.
           The bell rings and everyone packs up to leave. Blue and Madison leave first and I'm alone with Sophia. " You didn't have to do that." She says. I shrug. " It shouldn't matter to you because Blue isn't in my life anymore. She doesn't even remember. So I'm not hurting anyone." Sophia shakes her head and walks away.

        I shove the key into the keyhole and open the door. The house smells like chicken and flowers. I hear my mum banging pots and pans in the kitchen. I set my backpack on the floor in front of the stairs and enter the kitchen.
         " Hey mum." I say. She puts a pot in a cabinet and kisses my forehead. "Hi Harry." She half smiles and puts a plate in my hands. "Please eat before work today. You never do." I nod. I don't, I never have the time because I have piles of homework to do.
            My mum grabs the keys from the counter. " Going to work, hopefully I'm back before you leave for school." I look down on the white plate in my hands. " Love you Harry!" My mum shouts before she closes the door.
         I sigh and walk upstairs to my room. I throw my bag by my door and set the plate on my bed. I take out my homework and start working on it. I hate school, but I have to keep working my ass off to get a scholarship. I don't want to stay here any longer then I have to, I want to get the fuck out.
             After I finished 2 hours of homework, I go to the Kroger Warehouse for work. I work to support my mum. When my Dad died, we almost couldn't afford this house, but I picked up a job illegally at 12 to help with bills.
         The worst thing about it is that my mum has to work as a prostitute for us. I hate it. That's why I need the scholarship so I can go to school and when I'm done, I can make so much money my mum doesn't have to work another day in her life.
          When I get home, its 3 am. I have 2 hours to sleep so I immediately take off my clothes and fall asleep. I dream of Blue. I dream of her head resting on my chest as I hold her. Her beautiful smile. Her face getting red whenever I tease her. Damn I love her so much.
My alarm clock goes off and wakes me up, ending my fantasies of her.
