Blue

Unexpected

Blue's POV

             I hold my face as I look at the two books in front of me. Should I do Evolution or Ecology? I hesitate and pick the book about evolution since I barely understand ecology. I grab the book and walk to the checkout line. The library assistant hands me my book with a smile and I grab it from her. I find the nearest table and set all my stuff on it.
            I open the book and grab my notebook to take notes with. My phone buzzes in my pocket so I take it out to check it. Harry: Where are you? I set my pen down so I can reply.
Blue: I'm okay, not gonna be in lunch I have to do something. I hit send and focus back on my book. My phone immediately goes off again and I pick it up. Harry: Come back, I miss you :'(
           I smile down at the text but shake my head. Blue: I can't, I'm sorry. I'll see you in Geo ;). I put my phone down and when I hear it ring again, I decide to ignore it. I need to get this project for Biology done. I can't afford to fail Biology, especially after I just got into Chicago.
           I look down at my book and read slowly. Damn I hate being a slow reader. I write down notes and annotate parts I want to research deeper. My phone buzzes twice but I decide to ignore it, knowing that its Harry. Hopefully he doesn't find me so I can focus on this project.
          I hear something thump so I look up to see Madison sitting in front of me. She half smiles down at me, seeming a bit nervous. " Hi." She pratically whispers. I raise an eyebrow in confusion. " Uh, Hi." She sighs a bit and folds her hands together. " How are you doing?" She awkwardly asks. I shrug, still super confused.
           " Fine I guess." She nods a bit and stands up but hovers over the table for a bit. She takes another deep breath. " I really hope Harry makes you happy, makes your life better." I smile a bit. " He does." She nods slightly and looks down at me with her green eyes. " I'm sorry about everything that happened with you. Brent, the car crash, I really am." I nod and smile. " Its okay Madison, none of it is your fault."
            She opens her mouth to say something but is immediately cut off by the sound of Sam's voice.
" Madison, Blue." He nods towards me and I smile up at him a bit. Madison grabs her bag and quickly leaves the table and Sam eyes me curiously. I shrug and he sits down across from me at my response. " You doing your biology project too?" He asks. I nod.
            " I'm doing Evolution because thats the only thing I understand in this unit." He nods and opens one of the books he checked out. We sit in silence for a couple of minutes studying. I pray Harry doesn't find out about this or else he'll freak, even though we had an agreement.
           " Can I ask you something?" I look up at Sam and see him eyeing me deeply. I shrug. " Sure." He closes his book a bit and leans over the table closer to me. " Is Harry jealous of me?" He asks. Oh shit. " What do you mean?" I ask. He licks his lips and the habit reminds me of Harry. " Does he think I like you or something because he seems to get a little tense whenever I'm around you."
             My mouth gets dry from the sentence. Why am I so nervous? Just tell the truth, its not that big of a deal. " Harry is just a little overprotective." Sam raises his perfect eyebrows at me. " Okay maybe alot. But he's just a little insecure about losing me that's all." Amusement rises in Sam's eyes and he licks his lips again. " Well your a pretty and smart girl, I see why."
           I look down at my book and pray my face doesn't go red. Yet another thing Harry would freak about. " Blue." My stomach drops at the voice and I internally groan. I slowly look up from my book and see Harry standing up looking down at me. I look over at Sam and see a flash of emotion in his eyes but can't put my finger on it.
            Harry looks half excited to see me, half pissed to see Sam. He glances over at Sam and shoots him a dirty look. " Yes Harry?" He raises an eyebrow at me and taps the table with his finger. He seems to be thinking for a moment and decides to sit in the seat next to me. He wraps his left arm around my chair and pulls me closer to him by my waist. I roll my eyes but blush at the gesture.
          " What you doing?" He asks. I sip water from my water bottle.
" Researching for my biology project." He nods and looks down at my book. He looks over at Sam yet again but doesn't say anything. He's being calm, what's going on? Sam closes his book and looks up at Harry, a challenging look in his eyes. Oh no.
            " Harry, never thought I see you in a library." I roll my eyes and groan at the fight I'm going to have to break up in a library. " Too smart for libraries I guess." Harry shrugs nonchalantly and places his left hand to my waist, soothingly running his hand up and down. I have to stop this before it gets started.
            " How did you find me?" I ask. Harry looks down at me biting his lip. " I asked Sophia and I couldn't get it out of her so I saw Madison and asked if she had seen you." My face drops a little, but I quickly look away, hoping Harry won't notice my expression. I have to trust him and not get jealous. But I don't trust her.
          He lightly grabs my arm and pulls me towards his direction. His face inches closer to mine and I inhale the smell of his breath. " You okay?" I gulp slightly at how close he is and he nods, not pushing the conversation any further. I look over at Sam he's looking at both me and Harry.
           He closes his book and stands up, grabbing his bag. " I'm gonna leave you too alone to do whatever." He pushes his chair in. " See you around Blue?" He asks, seeming amused. I nod slowly and he smiles down at me then walks away. Harry's arm is still around me and he loosens his grip a bit when Sam is out of sight.
           What the hell was that? What is going on? First Madison awkwardly talks to me for 2 minutes and then Sam and Harry have some werid interaction in front of me. I sigh and look up at Harry to see him looking down at me with his lips puckered. He looks so cute.
           " You were surprisingly calm." I say as he bites down on his lips. He nods slightly. " Yeah, I'm just really tired today I guess." He shrugs and pulls me closer to him. I lay my head against his chest and sigh deeply. I feel his heart beat against my chest and it seems to speed up a bit. I synch my breathing in with his and close my eyes.
            Its relaxing sitting here doing nothing but holding each other for a few minutes. I completely forget I'm in school until the bell rings and I jump up from his chest. He looks down at me and frowns but I ignore his face and gather all my things. Harry grabs my bag from my hand as I'm shoving things in it and pulls it onto his left shoulder. I smile at the gesture and lock our fingers together.
            We walk hand and hand to Geo class in silence. Harry seems a bit more quiet today but he said he was tired so I decide to ignore it. When we get to Geo he sets my bag down next to my seat and kisses my cheek as he walks to his. He sits down next to Madison in udder silence and stares forward. There seems to be glare in his eyes that's different from his neutral expression. That doesn't look like fatigue to me.
          " OH MY GOSH YES, YES, YES!" My thoughts are interrupted with the sound of a girl yelling in the hallway. I look out to see a guy with blond hair down on his knees with a poster in his hands thats reads Prom? in neat, fancy letters. I smile at the proposal but look away. Prom is coming up and I've been thinking about it but I already know Harry would never go. Even if he did he hasn't asked me so it doesn't really matter.
          I look towards the board at the agenda for the day and sigh.
" Something wrong?" I look to the left to see Sam looking down at me, quirking an eyebrow. " I'm just fine." I half smile as the bell rings.
