Blue's POV

" Hey." I hear to my left. I look to see Sophia walking towards me. My eyes widned. Her brown wavy hair is straighten and down instead of in a ponytail. I see her in a purple crop top and a black skater skirt that doesn't quite cover all of her midrift. She's wearing gold and black sandals and a gold heart necklace around her neck.
I close my locker and cross my arms. " You look hot." I say winking and she laughs. " Thanks, I have my swimming dinner tonight for the seniors and coach is forcing us to dress up." I nod. That makes more sense because I've seen Sophia wear a skirt twice in my life and I've known her for 14 years.
" How's life?" She asks. I shrug and smile. Last night with Harry was amazing. Even though as soon as he left I didn't get any shut eye and immediately had to get ready for school, it was definitely worth it.
" Your in a really good mood considering the circumstances, what's up, did Sam show you his dick or something?" I roll my eyes at Sophia.
" No, not that," I say imagining what Sam's dick looks like," It's nothing." Sophia raises an eyebrow." This is the happiest I've seen you in a long time. What's going on?" Should I tell Sophia? I did not tell her much about what happened with me and Harry just that we got in a huge fight over something stupid. But I just lost my virginity and it would kill me not to tell my best friend.
" Something major happened last night." I whisper. Sophia raises her eyebrows in confusion. " With Sam?" She asks curiously. I shake my head no. "Harry?" She asks nervously. I nod yes. " We had sex Sophia." I smile. She lets out a deep breathe and rolls her eyes. " But it wasn't just sex Sophia, Harry, he.... he made love to me," I say remembering the way his soft voice was in my ear," He was so sweet and gentle and... it felt so good. I thought losing your virginity was supposed to hurt but I have never felt like that before. I felt like I was on top of the world, like I could do anything in that moment and it wouldn't matter."
Sophia looks at me semi happy for me.
" Well everyone is different. I'm glad you had a good time." Why isn't she as happy for me as I thought she would be? " Is everything okay, I kind of expected you to be more excited?" I ask a little hurt. Sophia sighs. " Of course I am, I just don't want you to get attached to Harry, he could hurt you again." Sophia is right. Harry could hurt me again. Am I crazy for not caring? For hoping that he will not make any more major mistakes or we won't have any huge fights? I want to keep being with him hoping that nothing bad ever happens again between us.
" I appreciate you caring I do." I say with no emotion. " I just really like him and I want everything to work out." Sophia looks down at her feet. " Me too." She whispers. Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye I see someone walk near me on the other side of the hall. Sam spots me and Sophia and walks over to us and smiles. " Hey guys." He says greeting us both a little out of breath." Hey!" I smile and lightly wave. Sophia looks up from her feet and forces a smile while adjusting her skirt. " Did everything go okay last night? Are you and Harry all good?" Sam asks me. He shifts on his feet and looks over at Sophia but doesn't say anything. " Yeah, everything is fine. Have you seen him, I haven't talked to him today?" Sam shakes his head and shrugs.
" I was going to ask you the same." Where is he? I haven't talked to him since last night after he took me home. I've been too nervous to text him this morning after our sweet memory last night but expected a text from him at this point. " That's really werid, he usually texts me if he is late or something," I pull my phone out from my pocket and unlock it," I'll cal him." I say as I pull up Harry's number. I press dial and wait for Harry to answer. It immediately goes to voicemail. "Straight to voicemail." I say looking at Sophia. She shrugs but seems a little concerned.
I look down the hall see the attendance office receptionist typing away on her computer. The bell to first period rings and I face Sam and Sophia. " I'll catch you guys later I'm going to go to the attendance office." They both nod and I quickly walk to the desk.
The receptionist looks up at me and smiles as she puts on her glasses. " Good morning sweetie, what can I do for you?" I smile back quickly and say," Hi, I was just wondering if a student called in sick or anything? Harry, Harry Styles?" She looks at me apologitecally." I'm sorry sweetie I can't give you other student's information." I put on my best pout and give her the puppy dog eyes." Please it is my boyfriend and I'm kind of worried about him. Its not like him to not show up to school, I just want to know if he is here." She sighs a little and begins typing on her computer.
She looks a little surprised as she looks at the screen. She lowers her glasses and looks at me. " Mr. Styles might be gone for a few weeks sweetie." My eyes widened. " What, why?" I ask concerned. She takes her glasses off and touches my hand. " His mother has passed away."
My mouth drops open and my breathing speeds up. I start to pant a little and the receptionist looks up at me. " Sweetie are you okay?" She asks standing up as I move away from the desk. My head starts to spin and I can't control my breathing. I lean against the desk to continue standing as my head begins to pound. The receptionist is already standing by me before I know it , shoving water in my face. I take a sip and quickly gulp it down as I try to control my breathing. After what seems like forever I finally speak." I'm okay, sorry." Is all I can manage out.
How could Harry's mother be gone? I don't know how long she has been diagnosed with lung cancer but how could she be gone so quickly? I barely met her and I recall the small encounter I had with her at Harry's house. She seemed like such a sweet lady and I know Harry loved her deeply. She won't get to see her son walk on the stage to get his diploma. She won't see him take pictures in front of Harvard when he moves there. She won't see him have kids or get married or buy his first house. She is just gone. Like that.
I pull out my phone and car keys from my book bag. " I have- I have to go to him . I have to go see him." I demand to the receptionist. She nods quickly. " What's your name?" She asks, grabbing a pen and notebook. " Blue. Blue Anderson." She nods as she writes quickly. Before she can say anything, I begin running out the doors and dash to the parking lot. I barely have time to put my seatbelt before I bolt to the nearest hospital my mind can think of. I will drive to every hospital before I give up just to get to him. I can't imagine his reaction. How much he is hurting. I use that to fuel my determination to get to the hospital as fast as I can.
