Liam's P.O.V.
We'd finished eating most of the food. We were not enjoying a big bag of Malteasers. Meghan lifted one out of the bag and stared at it. "Do you reckon you could catch this in your mouth if I threw it?"
"With the way you throw? No chance. You throw like a girl." I smirked.
"That's funny, because the last time I checked, I was a girl. Meghan ate the Malteaser herself.
"Fine, try me." She smirked and lifted another one. Well, what I thought was one. The next thing I know, Meghan had threw three or four at me all at once and was now laughing hysterically. "No Meghan, I can't catch one if you throw others with it!" i chuckled.
"Sorry I thought it would be funny... and it was!" She grinned at me and my heart melted. When should I ask her...?
"Come on then pretty boy, let's see if I can catch one!" I raised an eyebrow at her.
"You can't. You catch like a girl too." I smirked at her.
"Yeah because I catch a lot of things in my mouth?" I rolled my eyes and lifted a Malteaser.
"Ready?"
"Hurry up and throw the damn th- ow!" I had thrown it mid-sentence and it was so close to going in her mouth only it bounced off her chin. "You're gonna wish you didn't do that." She smirked at me and I was slightly scared. I stood up with Meghan and I nervously backed away. I ran down the little hill nearer to the Hollywood sign. Meghan was right behind me so I stopped and turned around and caught her in my arms. I smiled down at her and leaned back onto the 'Y' in Hollywood. I pulled Meghan close to me. Ask her now...
"Meghan..."
"Liam...?" I took a deep breath. This question could change both of our lives.
"Wou-" Meghan jumped back a little. "Are you ok?" She pulled her phone out of her back pocket of her shorts.
"Sorry, it's my manager. I'll get rid of him." She smiled and answered the phone. I couldn't ask her now. The moments passed. We both slowly walked back up to the picnic while she was on the phone. "Yeah, I feel fine now...I wish I could, but I'm in California with Liam...No, I was told I'm starting back at the start of next week...Ok, that's fine. Bye." She hung up and shoved her phone back in her pocket.
"Everything ok?" I asked.
"Yeah, he was just looking me to do a shoot but I told him no, since I'm still technically recovering." I nodded as we sat back down at our picnic. "So, what were you saying before?" She smiled at me and moved over to she was beside me. I put my arms around her.
"Oh, um..." Do I or don't I? Meghan looked up to me, still smiling. I found the courage to ask her again. Just as the words were about to leave my lips, we heard a massive rumble. Within seconds there was a flash and the heavens opened. It started lashing down on us. I jumped up, pulling Meghan with me. We lifted all our stuff and literally ran down the hill to where the car was waiting for us. We jumped in, completely soaked.
"Well that was..." She started.
"Bad timing." I groaned. I looked down at my hands. I really want to ask her.
"Are you ok babe?" She rested her hands on top of mine to stop me fidgeting.
"Yeah, I'm just annoyed because the thunder storm ruined our picnic." Meghan leaned up and kissed my cheek. I felt them burn a little as I blushed.
"It didn't ruin it. It was the cutest thing you've ever planned. I loved it." She beamed up at me and I couldn't help but grin myself.
"I love you." I whispered, my lips close to hers.
