Zayn’s P.O.V.

"I’m just going to the bathroom, back in a minute." Perrie smiled up at me.

"I’ll come with you, you know, in case there are any crazed fans around." I winked at her and took her hand and we made our way over to the small building full of toilets. I waited outside the building which Perrie went in. I pulled out my phone to check the time. 9:52pm. A few girls came over and started talking to me. I was polite and talked with them. They asked for a picture, so I agreed as Perrie was still in the bathroom.

"The light isn’t very good here, can we move over a bit so the street lamp it in it?" One girl asked. I nodded a little. I quickly glanced back at the bathrooms to see the main door swinging open. Perrie won’t mind. Just as the girl was about to take the picture, I heard the most horrifying sounds. There was a gun shot sound, followed by a terrifying scream. I knew that scream. Perrie. I bolted from the girls and ran to the bathroom to find Perrie on the ground covered in blood. My whole world collapsed. I flung myself down on my knees beside Perrie. I pulled her into my arms.

"SOMEONE CALL AN AMBULANCE!" I yelled. A few people standing by fumbled with their phones. I looked back down at Perrie with tears in my eyes. I pulled my jacket off and wrapped it around her. She was still conscious, but I wasn’t sure how long for. "I love you Perrie. You’re going to be ok, help is on the way."

"I- I love you too Zay..." Her voice was no more than a whisper. It drifted off at the end. Her eyes started closing. No. No, don’t let this happen. The boys came running over.

"Zayn! The ambulance is here!" Louis shouted. I looked around to find the blue flashing lights coming around the corner and the sound of the sirens getting louder.

"Perrie, babe, you’re in safe hands now. I’m going to be with you the whole time.  I promise." The paramedic ran over followed by two people carrying the stretcher.

"Ok son, what’s her name?" The paramedic asked.

"Perrie. Perrie Edwards."

"How long has she been unconscious for?"

"Uh, a few minutes?" Question after question was asked. Before I knew it they were carrying her into the ambulance. I heard someone shouting my name. I looked out from the ambulance before they closed the doors. It was Meghan.

"Zayn! I’ll meet you at the hospital!" She stopped, out of breath. I couldn’t bring myself to speak. I just nodded before they shut the doors and drove off with the sirens blaring.

A pair of hands rested on my shoulders. I looked up from my own hands to find Meghan looking pale and as scared as I felt. "Any news?"

"They’ve told me she was hit in the chest but it was at the right side so it wasn’t near her heart but it was quite close to her lungs. It’s still pretty dangerous." Meghan slumped into the chair beside me in the waiting room.

"The police are talking to Eleanor and Louis at the minute. They want to talk to you after..." I nodded. I can’t believe this.

 Meghan’s P.O.V.

Zayn seemed very quiet. I know he shouldn’t exactly be jumping for joy, but Perrie will be ok. I just know she will. A policeman walked in with Louis and Eleanor behind him. Eleanor looked as bad as I felt. "Zayn Malik?" Zayn looked up and nodded. "If you wouldn’t mind, we need you to give us your statement. I also need one from Meghan Kingsley." My stomach knotted.

"We’ll speak to Zayn first then we’ll come back for you Meghan." I nodded slightly. Zayn stood up and followed the policeman out into the corridor. Louis and Eleanor sat either side of me.
