A boy enters in the elevator and Dan looks at him to head to toe, returning to watch his phone soon after. The guy takes his cell phone too and there is a deafening silence.
Dan looks at those posts who he only sees in black and white bored, then he realizes that there is no line and puts it back in his pocket.
All of a sudden the elevator makes a strange noise. The two boys look and Phil immediately presses the button on the ground floor again, with no results.
"No no no fucking shit," Dan says and tries to open the doors.
"Hey calm down," Phil says. "It will certainly be a problem, just a few min-"
"A few minutes my ass! I knew I would have used the stairs," he screams and puts his hands on his head. "I'm sorry"
"Don't worry," he smiles and presses the button for emergency. "It says 'in case of emergency, you will be fine in five minutes, calm yourself and distract yourself'l
"How can I distract myself? I'm going to die," he mutters.
"Don't worry"
"I've seen a lot of movies where people are stuck in elevators and die"
"I've seen the most of the ones where they fuck in elevators," Phil chuckles.
"So now you're flirting with me too?" Dan asks and laughs.
"I was trying to play down," he smiles. "What's your name?"
"Dan," he says.
"Phil," he says too. "We met in a stuck elevator, beautiful"
"I suffer of claustrophobia, Jesus," he says and puts his hand on his chest trying to breathe slowly.
"Calm down and don't have a panic attack," he smiles. "Sit there"
Dan moves some newspaper from a chair and sits down, then he looks in the mirror and wipes his eyes.
"It's alright," Phil smiles.
"Yes," he whispers, and closes his eyes. "I know"
"Don't worry," he says and strokes his hair. "Alright?"
"Alright," he smiles. "Thank you"
"Don't worry," he repeats and Dan looks into his eyes and sees something he has never seen before, a color. He looks at his hands and sees that they are in a beautiful shade, and then he looks back at the Phil's eyes. Even Phil's shocked because seeing the beautiful brown eyes of the guy in front of him..
"Y-you know what just happened?" Dan asks and begins to shake.
"Yeah, um.. then," he mumbles sheepishly.
"Nice to meet you, soulmate," he smiles.
After a few seconds of interminable silence a noise does unlock the elevator, the light turns green and he goes to the top floor.
"Yes Jesus, thank you," Dan yells hugging Phil, the door opens and they see a man who looks at them with a raised eyebrow that goes away, Dan gets off the hug. "S-sorry"
"It's okay," Phil smiles.
"Are you free?"
"How could I be in a hurry for my soulmate? he answers and they go out, walking down the hallway.
"Take a coffee with me then," he smiles.
"Yeah," he nods and they enter in the nearest bar, then they approach to the checkout.
"Two coffees," Dan says and pays.
"Let me pay," Phil tries to say but Dan precedes it with the money to the girl.
"No," he replies, and shortly after they have the coffees and begin to sip it. "I'm calm now"
"Good thing, me too," he smiles. "To be honest I was scared"
"I imagined," he chuckles.
"So.. tell me something about you, soulmate"
