Chapter 3

Jaymes POV

Taylor just stared, he was shaking, afraid of what Jason would do to him. I could tell. It was like this when I was with Jason, too. They looked nothing like each other, but I should’ve known. Jason had shown me pictures before.

“I…I…” Taylor tried to explain.

“Don’t bother Taylor. You don’t have to explain,” I turned to Jason, my confidence fell every time I looked at him, “Taylor found me. He helped me. If it wasn’t for him I would be dead and…”

Jacob interrupted me “Why didn’t you just let her die?”

“Because… you still love her, your room is still covered in picture of you to”

“You better run!”

I stepped in front of Taylor,

“Move Jaymes,” he said coldly

“No, you guys are pathetic, Taylor helped me and it’s ok if you still have feelings for me Jase” I was smiling, until I realised Jason’s eyes going red. They only did that when he was angry,

“Ok, Jason calm down” Taylor spoke up from behind me, Jason had his hands In fists,

“Go on then. I dare you Jason!” I knew he wouldn’t. He still ‘loved’ me. He wouldn’t hurt me. He stared at me, confused. Then laughed.

“Thats funny, I don’t remember you every standing up for anything” he mused. “little Jay is growing up, and I think you’ll find Its the other way around, you still have undenynig feelings for me and you know it” Jason walked forwards,

“I’m over you!” I yelled,

He stood there for a second, then walked away, angrily.

I sighed and turned around,

Taylor laughed. “Come on,” he whispered, “I’ll show you my room.” smiling he showed me the way.

We reached his room. It was very big. The walls were green with a few posters of Paramore, black veil brides and panic at the disco. There was one window, which showed the garden. It was also huge! He had a double bed against the left wall, the quilt and pillows were a light blue, but strangely matched the green walls. The carpet was also green, but darker than the walls. There was a single photo on his bedside table. It looked like his family when he was younger, him, Jacob, their parents, and his younger sister, Frankie, I think.

All I knew about Frankie was that she became seriously ill a year ago. Jason never told me if she had recovered, he didn’t talk about his family much. In the photo Frankie’s hair was long, curly and blonde. Her blue eyes seemed to be glowing through the frame’s of her pink glasses.

“Jason once told me your sister got really ill…did she get better?” I asked.

“Oh…actually, she came home from the hospital yesterday. I found you on the way to get her…I took you there and brought her home. I put her to bed, and then I left to go see you. I was in the hospital all night.”

“You didn’t have to you know.” I said

“Here…I’ll take those.” he took my bags and placed them in the corner. “How long will you stay, my little runaway?”

His rhyming made me laugh. I would stay for a while, I knew, but I wasn’t sure how long. I knew I’d had to leave soon. Though I didn’t want to, I had to.

I looked at him. He saw the worry in my eyes, so he let the question go.

“Taylor!” came a girls voice, I guessed it was Frankie, “Jason’s being mean!”

“I’m up here, Frankie!” Taylor shouted back.

I heard footsteps running up the stairs. I moved to sit on the bed, so I wasn’t in the way of the door. As I sat, the door flung upon. Standing there was a young girl, round about the age of thirteen.

“Taylor, Jason won’t make me any lunch!” then she noticed me, “Oh. My. God! Does Jason know she’s here? I’ve already seen his room! It’s covered in pictures of her! He’ll kill you!” her voice sounded worried, like Jason really would kill Taylor.

“It’s all right Frankie, they hate each other now” he hugged her. They were so close.

Taylor stormed downstairs, followed closely by me and Frankie.

“Jason, why can’t you be nice? She’s just came home from spending a year in the hospital. Mum and dad are on a business trip and you’re doing nothing to be nice to Frankie! You’re such a jerk!” Taylor yelled when he saw Jason at the bottom of the stairs.

“I was watching TV. She interrupted me. Of course I’m going to be angry!”

Taylor’s eyes glowed with anger. He jumped and landed on Jason. They started hitting each other.

“Taylor stop, he’s not worth it!” I moved forward to stop them, but I tripped on the stairs.

“Jaymes!” Taylor and Jason said at the same time. They both ran towards me, trying to help, but pushing each other on the way to me.

I stood up, “Don’t bother, either of you! You’re both as bad as each other!” I stumbled up the stairs, angrily.

“Jaymes, no, please!” Taylor followed me to his room,

I picked up my stuff. I walked towards the door.

I heard the doorbell ring, but I continued towards the landing. The front door opened and I heard Jason say, “What do you want?”

The next voice made me freeze on the spot. It was a woman’s. A woman’s I recognized, but I could tell she was in tears.

“I’m looking for my daughter, Jaymes. You were dating her. Were you not?”

I turned to Taylor and whispered, “Please tell me you have a backdoor!”

“Yeah, but whoever that is will see you either way.” he looked confused.

“Crap!” I crept down the stairs, making sure my mum couldn’t see and Jason could, “Jase make her leave! Please!”

He paid no attention to me.

“Hello Ms. Farrow! As a matter of fact, she is here!” he smiled.

“I hate you!” I stormed past him, aiming for the door. My mum looked terrible. “Don’t bother, any of you!” I barged past my mum and out the door.

“Jaymes, wait don’t go please!” her voice broke.

I ignored her if I was to talk I would fall to pieces in front of all of them. I couldn’t face it.
