Chapter 10

 Jaymes POV

I awoke to the sound of birds singing, I opened my eyes and took in my surroundings, I was in an open field but had trees around the outside. There was a lake to the left and a little hut/cabin to the right of it. Butterflies flew past; I got to my feet taking a step forward. What once was bright and open turned into darkness, I found myself falling, I started to scream. My screaming stopped once I hit what I thought was the bottom, I opened my eyes to darkness the only source of light came from the moon, a sudden breeze surrounded me, I shivered as it hit my bare skin, something moved to my right I looked out the corner of my eye, I turned my head fully as I noticed a pair of bright red eyes staring back at me. I was frozen, I couldn’t move. I heard a growl coming from my left, I was too scared to turn, I just fell to the ground. Something big stood over me I couldn’t make out what it was but when it looked down its piercing green eyes looked back at me. I heard another growl, they started snapping at each other like dogs, I heard one yelp, I don’t know which one it came from. I pulled myself to my feet but found myself falling again...

I woke up with a start, It was so cold yet I was sweating ‘Urghh attractive, good thing Theo isn’t awake’ I looked to were Theo should be, his side was empty, I looked towards the door, it wasn’t fully shut ‘well that would explain why it’s cold in here’ I signed crawling towards the door, I unzipped it to see outside “Theo?” there was no answer. I unzipped the tent fully and got out. I stumbled over something soft, I picked it up, it was Theo’s shorts. I looked around hoping id spot him but my eyes fell on something else, I kept my eyes on it and soon enough what was once on two legs was now on four, I gasped, I took a step back and fell to the floor. Someone came out of Tristan and Lexis tent, I couldn’t warn them that something was out there; I just sat there like a fish out of water, helpless. The person started taking off their clothes, I shut my eyes although I couldn’t see anything because it was dark. I took a peak, they were gone I looked around again; I spotted a four legged creature running up towards the one I saw earlier then the first one ran off. “Please tell me Im dreaming” I said aloud,

“Alright, you’re dreaming” I jumped as I heard Theos voice from behind me, he was shirtless but had another pair of shorts on, he was carrying an extra blanket and a bottle of water

,.“Ah, there’s my shorts” he took his shorts out of my hand,

“Wha-, th-, he-“I couldn’t find my words

“Jaymes spit it out” he chuckled softly

“s-something up there” I pointed towards the hill, “was on two feet then th-they were on f-four” I stuttered,

“Jaymes I think your still shook up from you dream, I left to get you a drink I was going to wake up when I got back. You wouldn’t stop shaking, so I brought you a blanket too” he helped me up then guided me back to our tent,

I stopped “no, that wasn’t all I saw, someone came out of Tristan’s and Lexi’s tent then took their clothes off, I didn’t see anything because I closed my eyes but when I re-opened them the pile of clothes was still there and then I saw something running up the hill towards the animal thing I first saw” Theo started laughing

“Yeah, your defiantly outta your mind” he gave me a slight push telling me to hurry up, I crawled back into the tent with chase close on my heels. He sat down next to me then wrapped the blanket over me “thanks” I smiled at him, he lied down then I laid down next to him, we stayed there for ages and before we knew it we were both asleep.

 Theos POV

I woke up at some point soaked, I looked at Jaymes she was sweating like mad, I placed my hand on her head, she’s freezing. I crawled out of the tent got to my feet and headed towards the car, 'there should be a extra blanket somewhere’ just as I thought that I found one picking it up I grabbed a bottle of water to in case she got thirsty, I placed the behind the tent. I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep again so I decided to go for a run. i took my shorts off and walked towards the hill, I shifted once I hit the top.

‘Lexi? Want to go for a run?’

‘Um yeah might as well as you’ve just woke me up’ she thought back

‘Well hurry up then, Im going to start in a minute’ I saw Lexi get out her tent and shift into her wolf, she came running at me with her tongue hanging out. I saw Jaymes sitting outside the tent; Lexi was now standing next to me,

‘On second thought you’ll have to go on your own, Jaymes is awake’ I ran off in the opposite direction changing course to enter the camp from behind so Jaymes wouldn’t see me. I couldn’t find my shorts so I went to the car to get some more, I picked up the blanket and bottle before walking towards Jaymes,

“Please tell me Im dreaming” she whispered

I snuck up behind her “Alright, you’re dreaming” she had my shorts in her hands

“Ah, there’s my shorts” I took them from her

“Wha-, th-, he-“ shes stuttering

“Jaymes spit it out” I couldn’t help but laugh at her

“s-something up there” she pointed towards the hill, “was on two feet then th-they were on f-four” she was stuttering, she did see that,

‘Damn it Lexi, Jaymes saw us shift!’

‘I could have sworn she was still in her tent’ Lexi was just as annoyed as me,

“Jaymes I think your still shook up from you dream, I left to get you a drink I was going to wake up when I got back. You wouldn’t stop shaking, so I brought you a blanket too” I tried to make out that she hadn’t seen what she just saw, I pulled her up and gave her a slight push toward the tent,

She stopped walking “no, that wasn’t all I saw, someone came out of Tristan’s and Lexi’s tent then took their clothes off, I didn’t see anything because I closed my eyes but when I re-opened them the pile of clothes was still there and then I saw something running up the hill towards the animal thing I first saw” I started laughing

“Yeah, your defiantly outta your mind” I gave me a slight push telling her to hurry up, she crawled back into the tent with me close behind. I sat down next to her then wrapped the blanket over her “thanks” she gave me a warming smile, I lied down and she joined me shortly, soon enough she fell asleep, I couldn’t sleep anymore.

I couldn’t help the thoughts going through my head ‘should I tell her or make it out she was dreaming’ I didn’t know what to do.
