Chapter 12

Jaymes POV

After I told Jason that I had moved on and that he needed to as well, he got back in the car and mum drove off. Me and Theo started walking back to the camp, he looked at me,

“So did you mean about what you said?” he asked

“About what?”

“About you moving on” we stopped walking

“Look Theo, you’re a nice guy I just- I just- I don’t know-“he cut me off

“You don’t know how you feel right now” he finished

“Yeah, I know that us being mates means that we belong together, I just need time to figure things out” I looked at the floor.

“Take as long as you want, I’ll wait for you, ok?” he lifted my head with his finger “I love you Jaymes and I’ll wait forever for you” I felt myself blush

“You blush way too much” he gave me a lob sided smile

“Sorry” I blushed more

“Don’t be, it’s cute” he kissed my cheek, lacing his fingers with mine we continued to walk towards the camp where the others are waiting for us.

We came to the clearing were the camp was set up, I felt sad when Theo let go of my hand. Lexi looked up and waved us over,

“’bout time you guys got back” Tristan jogged over

“Yeah we walked the long way” Theo whispered but laud enough for them to hear

“Guys do you mind I need to talk to Theo along” Luca said appearing out of nowhere, Theo gave me an apologetic smile then followed Luca.

“What’s up with him?” I asked

“He’s just a little annoyed because he didn’t get to finish off your ex” Lexi smiled at me

“Well it’s good that he didn’t because although Jason’s a complete ass he wouldn’t deserve a beating” I nodded to myself

“Wouldn’t deserve it! Jaymes he almost kidnapped you!” Tristan looked angry and confused

“Fair enough but he is a really nice guy you just happened to show up at a bad time” I gave them a reassuring smile. They let the conversation drop and went back to what they were doing before I got back, Theo was heading up to the hill were he took me on the first night, he looked kind of angry, I took off after him, I felt arms around my waist, I turned around but was relieved when I came face to face with Luca,

“Leave him for now, he needs to calm down” he let me go then walked over to his tent then crawled in, I turned back to the hill to look for Theo but couldn’t find him, ignoring what Luca told me I headed up the hill to find Jason. Once I was at the top I shouted his name but had no response so I went into the woods to find him.

I heard a twig snap “Theo?” I said, no answer “Theo?!” I said again but still no answer, I was starting to panic when I felt a familiar pair of hands on my waist, he bent down and whispered in my ear,

“Hello Jaymes, didn’t think you’ll get away that easily did you?” I pulled myself out of his grasp,

“Jason” I was panicking not knowing what he’ll do, he covered my mouth before I could scream,

“Now now, you don’t want to do that” it was dark but I could tell he had a sly grin on his face. He picked me up and slung me over his shoulder, I was wriggling and hitting his back after realising it wasn’t doing any harm to him I stopped. I noticed head lights as we emerged from the woods I looked at the number plate and gasped in shock, my mum. The driver’s door opened and my mum hopped out, Jason set me back on my feet and turned me so I was facing my mum,
