Chapter 9

Theos POV

I walked towards Jaymes “ignore her, she’s just annoyed cause her floor got messy... and that you kissed her boyfriend” her cheeks started to turn red “I didn’t know they were goin out and I didn’t even know what I was doing ok, can we just drop it now, please?” She dropped her head before I could she her face going even brighter,

I tilted her head slightly with my finger “You’re cute when you blush” I whispered,

‘T come help with the bags please’ Lexi’s voice rang in my head. I dropped my finger and left the room. I met Lexi at the top of the stairs; I looked at all the cases she tried to carry,

I rolled my eyes “Which ones do you want me to carry” I asked, she lifted her foot and tapped four out of the seven cases “them ones please” she gave me a smile and then slid past me down the stairs.

“Jaymes have you packed your things?” I shouted down the stairs at her,

“Umm yeah I think so” she appeared at the bottom of the stairs,

“Go get your case then, and don’t forget to go to the toilet before we leave, it’s a long journey and were not stopping” I smiled at her as she huffed up the stairs, slid past me and into her door.

“Okay so, is that all the bags?” I asked, everyone replied with a simple “yeah”

“Has everyone been to the toilet because Im not making any stops” I said

“WAIT!” Jaymes and Lexi both said together “hurry up, Im leaving in five minutes” the two girls both ran off back towards the house to the toilet.

I turned to face Tristan “you sure we don’t have to pick Luca up?”

“Yeah, he said he’ll meet us there, do we have all the tents?” he asked

“Yes we’ve got one for Luca to sleep in and one for me and Jaymes and one for you and Lexi” I replied

“I don’t think Jaymes will be happy sharing with you” he gave me a little punch

“Maybe not, but she’s my mate I doubt she wouldn’t want to”

“When you going to tell her about us?” his question shocked me

“I guess, when the times right, I mean I don’t want to tell her completely out of the blue ill need a reason to”

“Aren’t you being mates not a good enough reason?” I didn’t get a chance to answer his question, as the girl appeared from the house.

Jaymes POV

We’d been sat in the car for what felt like hours, it’s now around four in the afternoon, we left the house around half two.

“How much longer?” I whined, Theo opened his mouth to reply but Tristan beat him to it,

“It’s just up that hill, ok?”

I huffed and sat back in my seat. I closed my eyes hoping sleep will find me and soon enough it did, I drifted off to sleep.

I awoke as the car pulled to a stop,

“We’re here” everyone shouted, we all got out to stretch. I looked around, ‘wow, this place is beautiful’ I thought, we were on the top of a hill looking over the village, I took in my surroundings while me and Lexi went to greet Luca as the guys unloaded the car,

“hey, Luca” I gave Luca a quick hug, he returned my hug then walked over and gave Lexi a hug then went to help with the guys with the tents.

“I feel sorry for him” Lexi randomly came out with, from what Theo told me it was quite normal for her to do that,

“Why?” I asked

“He hasn’t had a girlfriend for 5 years,” she was about to continue when the guys called us over,

“Jaymes, Lexi come on, we need to decide on what to eat” trust Theo to think about food.

We headed over to find Tristan and Luca arguing about the food, “guys chill,” I looked at our food bag, “why don’t we just cook some sausages and beans” everyone gave me a weird look “ok so maybe just the sausages, anyway, afterwards we’ll roast the marshmallows and we can either make s’mores or just eat them on their own” I suggested, they all looked at me like I was a genius so I continued “that way we all get what we want to eat and it’s a win-win all around” by now I had a huge smile on my face.

Tristan, Theo and Luca had finished putting up the tents so they went to collect wood for the fire, leaving me and Lexi on our own,

“So, do you like Theo?” again another random question,

“Um yeah as a frie-“ she cut me off

“Don’t give me that Jay, I see the way you blush when he’s in the room”

“Well, I guess you’ve just answered you own question” I smiled at her, “but seriously I don’t like-like him... Im just confused at the moment, I mean I’ve just kinda left someone so Im not really looking for someone right now” I gave her a little smile.

I hadn’t realised how fast the time flew, it was already starting to get dark. They guys got back a couple of minutes ago, Luca set up the Fire and now were sitting around it with our marshmallows. Theo got up and moved away from the fire,

“Jaymes do you want to go for a quick walk?” he looked at me, I got up

“Yeah, sure” I followed closely behind him “so what’s up?” I asked

He didn’t reply he just covered my eyes with his hands; we walked for a couple of seconds before we came to a stop. He removed his hands so I could see, I gasped, it was so beautiful, we were on the edge of the hill looking over towards the village, all the lights were on and the moon was full and big, it was so beautiful I have never seen the moon so big.

“Alex used to bring me and Tristan up here when we went camping, I would always sit here, it’s like my thinking spot, I always come here if something’s wrong or I need to chill out” he explained

“It’s beautiful” was all I could get out

“I wanted to show you one of the important things in my life, and this is one of them, until-” he couldn’t carry on I know him telling me this was hurting him. I gave Theo a hug, it felt like we were wrapped in each other’s arms for ages, I didn’t mind, he needed someone and I was there for him, he’s done so much for me these past couple of days so I could at least do this for him.

He pulled back after what felt like ages. He planted a small kiss on my cheek then took my hand in his and walked back towards camp.

By the time me and Theo had gotten back, everyone was in their tents sleeping. Theo put out the last of the fire and we turned towards our tent, I didn’t mind sharing with Theo, he just better keep to his own side. I was almost asleep when Theo whispered in my ear

“Goodnight Jaymes” he kissed on my head then turned over to his side.
