Naomi cried for days and days after what happened. She never stopped. Her mother tried to comfort her as much as she could, along with her friends. But Naomi was never the cheery one.

~A month later~

Bzzt! Bzzt!

Naomi groaned as she sat up in bed, awoken by the vibrating of her phone on the nightstand. She grabbed it to find Mayu phoning her. She could never hang up on Mayu.

She pressed answer.

"Hello?"

"Ah, Nakashima! Sorry to phone so early, but I was just wondering if you would like to come out with me, Shige and Yuu today? You know, just to get some fresh air! We're going to the zoo!" Naomi smiled at her potential, she was such a caring best friend.

"That's sounds lovely, Suzumoto, but I'm still feeling a bit...you know, not up for it, but thank you for calling and checking on me. It's really appreciated, really. Maybe next time?"

"Oh sure! Take all the time you need! Just give me a call, I'm always here." Mayu reassured, Naomi was really lucky to be cared for so much. "Thank you, I'll be sure to do that." And with that, Naomi hung up. She placed the phone back on the nightstand and checked the clock. 8:23.

It was still early in the morning. And she couldn't go back to sleep, not in her state. She leaned on her elbow on her pillow, which was dampened with tears. Oh yeah, she cried herself to sleep last night. Like she has been for the past month.

She sighed and threw her legs off the side of the bed. She figured she did need some fresh air, just will a little less excitement, sorry Mayu.

Combing through her short brown hair, Naomi placed on a simple white t-shirt, a black hoodie to go over it, with skinny blue jeans and black sneakers. She walked into the kitchen and saw her mother in her nightgown with a cup of coffee. She greeted her and told her she was getting some fresh air, which her mother smiled to. She waved Naomi off as she closed the door behind her back.

Naomi sat down on the local park bench and sighed. She overlooked the playground with a small, sad smile. This was where she met Seiko...

~Flashback~

"Stupid girl!" A little boy pushed over a little girl. He spat on her sun dress and kicked her shin. "Your stupid! You look like a boy! Ew! Ew!" He ranted and kicked her again, before raising his fist.

He hit something. Or rather, someone. His fist came into contact with someone else's back. The person turned around, a girl with longer hair and shorts. "That's no way to treat a person! Say sorry!" She yelled, protectively raising her arm in front of the other girl, who was staring at the other girl who just saved her a punch to the face.

The boy looked confusingly at the other girl, before shrugging his shoulders. He couldn't take on two girls, after all. "Sorry, girly." He mumbled, before walking away, kicking a stone on his way.

The girl then smiled brightly at the girl on the floor. "Are you alright there? Can you stand?" She reached out her hand for the other girl to take, who took it with a gentle grip. She got to her feet and nodded. "Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for sticking up for me, uh...?"

"Seiko! Seiko Shinohara at your service! I'm new in town, and you are...?" Seiko asked with a raised eyebrow, the short haired girl smiled at her goofy expression. "Naomi. Naomi Nakashima. It's nice to meet you, Seiko."

And that was the start of a partnership that would never die.

~End of Flashback~

Naomi wiped her eyes with the corner of her sleeves, letting out a sob before standing up, leaving the park, and headed home.

~5 Years Later~

Nothing changed Naomi in those past 5 years. She still looked the same, still acted the same. She was still the Naomi everyone knew. The only thing was, Naomi still didn't get over Seiko's death. She never would.

Naomi left her apartment that morning. She went to a place she all but knew too well. A very familiar and sad place. The graveyard.

She stopped in front of a gravestone covered in old, withered flowers, photographs and other things. Naomi sat on the ground in front of it and started at the photo of her lover, which was placed right at the front of the gravestone.

"Hey, Seiko." Naomi said to no one in particular. She looked at her lap. "I really miss you. Sorry I haven't visited in a while. You know, work at the hospital, lots of patients, you get the point." She looked up at the gravestone, but tears were flowing down her face.

"Or do you...?" She asked, hands curling into fists. She shut her eyes tightly and let out a muffled scream. "Just say something damnit! Seiko!" She weeped, her head falling into her hands.

"Woah, geez, I only just got here. Calm ya self down, Naomi." A voice said behind Naomi. That voice, it couldn't be...

Naomi turned around and couldn't believe who was standing in front of her. Seiko Shinohara. Seiko's hair was out of its usual curls and hanging freely down her back. She wore a red and black eye patch over her right eye, with a huge, ragged scar starting at her forehead, going sideways across the centre of her nose, and over her lips. She wore a black dress shirt with a red tie hanging loosely around her neck, and formal pants with black converse.

Naomi sat up from her sitting position and all but ran into Seiko's arms. Seiko happily hugged her back, her only eye shutting to stop the tears flowing. Naomi lifted her head out of Seiko's neck and caressed her cheek. Seiko smirked.

"Now, I know what your going to ask me first." Seiko said, her signature smirk making Naomi smile brightly in years.

"A-And what's that?" Naomi asked, her own smirk showing as well.

""Oh Seiko! How are you alive?" Am I right?"

"Hmm...nope! I was actually going to ask how you got that ugly scar."

Seiko smirked and dipped Naomi, kissing her deeply. Seiko pulled away a bit. "You'll find out soon enough." And kissed her again, both smiling brightly as they could.

The End

~~~
Thank you so much for reading this! It's really appreciated!
Also, I got some bad news... I won't be making any more multi chapter books.
I just can't keep up with them! I'm sorry. But I will make one shots and whatnot.
Anyway, until next time!
