Love at War

This book takes place during World War 3. Elizabeth who lost her family and is about to loose her friends. She has to choose between her boyfriend or her best friend. Hope you enjoy it!

Chapter 1

Hi I'm Elizabeth. I'm 18 years old and summer just started. World War 3 is just starting and its been miserable. Even though its only been a year since it started; the government is already drafting people. I'm worried because my best friends are older than 18 and could be drafted into the army.

I start to walk into my house when I hear these planes above me. I look up and I see a bomb being dropped and I know that its going to hit my house. I scream for my family to get out of the house but its to late. The bomb goes off and my house is blown to bits. I'm knocked back from the explosion. I take one last look at my house and I start to run. I don't know where I was headed; I just knew I had to get away from here. I ended up running out of two towns and I fell asleep on the curb. I am awakened by something poking me.

I look up and I see my best friend John. We started talking and I told him what happened to my family. He was sorry for me. I didn't even realize that I was crying. I was crying so hard that I got a headache. John went into his house and brought me something to eat. After I was done eating we started to walk around.

We ended up walking to our old High School. Walking up to it reminded me of the day it was destroyed." I was eating lunch when we heard the planes going over. We could hear a bomb being dropped. Everyone ran out of the school as fast as they could, but then I got caught on something.
