Chapter 11

I look at him with shock and I say yes. I was so happy and he was too. I look over and I see Ryan with hurt eyes. I turn back to Jacob and he is really happy. We drive back and we see that their are a lot of cars in the driveway. I look at him with confusion and he does too.

We walk through the front door and see John and he's crying. I go over to him and ask him what's wrong and he said that Ashley left him. I was in shock and I was really surprised. I ask what had happened and he said that her ex-boyfriend was on the cruise and he took her from him. I felt so bad for him. I knew that my best friend had just lost something important to him. I hug him and then I leave and I go talk to Jacob. I ask him when should we tell them that we are engaged. He says tomorrow. I agree and we go back to where they are. I see that Sam and Alex are comforting John and then we hear a knock on the door. I go and open it and I see John's first crush in the doorway.

I tell her that John is in the kitchen and she goes right in. John hugs her right away. I honestly thought that John should have proposed to her but he didn't. After a while of talking I get tired and I go to bed. I wake up the next morning and I hear screaming. I jump out of bed and I see Sam and Alex fighting. I try and hide so they don't see me. I see John and Jacob by them too. Then I see Sam push Alex and she slaps him. Then Sam tries to attack her but John pulls him back. I grab Alex and take her outside. I ask her what was going on and she said that Sam was being mean to her. After this we go back inside and Sam walks over to her and apologizes. They make up and things go back to normal.

I would think that everything would go back to normal but things just get worse. The war is back on and the same soldiers from before have to go back again. This makes everyone upset. I can't believe that after what the guys have been through they have to go back. Ugh this makes me so mad. Why do they even have to go back they just got back 2 months ago. First our government sends people into the war then sends them home and then sends them back again. Everyone isn't happy about this we all just want this to be over.

We keep listening and watching the next couple of days for the boys' time to go back. We get a letter in the mail saying,

"Solider Jacob, John, and Sam need to report back to base immediately. If they do not they will be forcefully taken there."

We are very upset that this came sooner than later, but they had to go back. We all spend one last night with each other before they go. We all had so much fun with each other. Jacob and I stayed up late just talking. I ended up falling asleep in his arms. I wake up to him kissing me on the forehead. I wake up and it's 9 o'clock a.m and I know that he has to go. We say our good-byes and he leaves me with a necklace and a letter.
