Chapter 14

I couldn't believe it, I dreamed that Jacob came home. I started to cry I don't know why. John knew that I was upset that Jacob has been gone for 5 months and that I missed him so much. I guess dreaming that he was home made me feel like I was back from "sleep."

One day an old friend came to visit. Her name was Paige. I knew that John asked her if she could come see me. I knew she wouldn't refuse she was one of my best friends. She was gone at college. I was jealous because she got to escape from all this madness.

I was so happy she was here. I tried to get up but my legs wouldn't move. It felt like they were broken. I couldn't explain the feeling in my legs that hurt so badly. I eventually got up and I started to walk over to her, but my leg buckled from underneath me and then the next thing I know I'm on the ground. John and Paige rushed over to me to help me up, and try to help me get more support but i kept on falling. One last time I fell and I hit my head on a table corner.

I never felt so much pain, I was knocked out cold. The next thing I knew I was in the hospital. I could hear the doctor talk to John and Paige about how I got a concussion, and I lost some blood in my head and I would feel light headed. The reason I fell was because I lost feeling in my legs and that they were weak from lack of use.

After the doctor left I started to moan with pain, so Paige tried to wake me up. I woke up and pain shot throughout my body. I fell asleep again and I kept waking up to nightmares. Every time I woke up I saw Paige and John they tried talking to me, but I always asked who they were.

I could see the face expression on John's face. After a while I didn't realize who was at the hospital. I just knew that two people were always with me and would never leave. One day I heard the doctor talking to them and he was saying that, my concussion was getting worse and that I soon will forget about all my friends, and that they needed to help me get my memory back. The doctor even said that they could take me home. After the doctor left John and Paige went out of the room to talk. I could see the girl start to cry and the boy is trying to comfort her. I feel like I've met them before and that they were important to my life. I felt so empty inside I didn't know why. I felt that there was someone missing from my life.

The girl and boy took me to a place where I felt like I have been here before. I sat down in one of the chairs. It felt familiar but I didn't know why. A few minutes later there was a knock on the door. The boy went to go open it and it was some guy who looked worried. He ran in and came over to me. I could see that the boy was trying to get him away from me. The boy in front of me asks me if I remembered who he was. I gave a look of confusion. He took this moment and he kissed me. I knew that he wasn't the one I missed so I punched him.

The boy grabbed the guy who kissed me and he threw him out. I was happy that, that awful boy was gone. I asked the boy who was that, and he said that he a boy who liked me and wanted me to be his. I knew that he wasn't mine, so I just ignored the thought. The boy brought in a bowl of soup. I asked him who he was. He said that he was my best friend, and that we had been best friends since we were little. I didn't know why but I started to cry. I wiped the tear away and I told him that I really didn't remember him.

He tried to get me to remember him, but I only remembered a little about him. The girl came in and I remembered her. I didn't know why I didn't recognize her before I guess it was just the place that we were.

There was another knock on the door. The boy went to go open it. There was another girl that looked familiar. She gave the boy a hug and then she came over to me. She gave me a hug and this made me aware of who she was. She was my best friend Ashley. Ashley started to talk to me about what happened, and I didn't even realize that I had hit my head. I got a concussion and I was rushed to the hospital. I lost feeling in my legs. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks so that I would feel less light headed.

My friends were so worried about me. I got a lot of flowers and gifts. There's one gift that stuck out in my mind. It was a beautiful necklace with a note. I read the note and it looked really familiar. The person who gave it to me seemed like I knew but didn't at the same time. I tried to remember but there was one thing that stuck in my mind I missed Jacob.
