Chapter 16

I feel being lifted off the ground. I was put in a car and then I think I was taken back to the house. I could hear people ask what happened and the guy just said that I was beaten up. I heard gasps. I went to touch my head to stop some of the pain, but when I touched my head I could feel blood and more pain spread throughout my body.

I was set down on something soft. I could feel someone putting there hands in mine. I felt like these hands had met mine before. Everything was a blank. I could feel needles being injected in me. I thought for sure I was in the hospital. But I knew I wasn't because if I was I would hear beeping. I finally found sleep throughout that whole night of pain, but even then the nightmares came back. Ryan was in it and he was hurting me again. My body went cold. I knew that this time I wasn't coming back. I woke with a scream and my head started to hurt.

Someone comes in and makes me eat. It doesn't taste like anything, to me it just tastes like flavored water. I open my eyes and I see Jacob. Once I see him I remember everything. I don't know how. I guess just looking at him made me remember everything. This makes me smile and then he ask why I was smiling. I told him that I remember. He just looks at me and smiles. He takes my hands into his and he kissed me. I can't explain how much I missed him. He makes me happy. So happy. Because I was I was moving to fast I started bleeding again. I didn't care I never wanted to be separated from him ever again.

Most days I just sat in bed while Jacob would tell me about the war. I couldn't tell him that I just sat and waited for him to come home. I just sat there and listened. I asked him how he knew where I was when I was beaten up.

"I came home and you weren't there and John said that you went to go get food." He said. "So, we waited and you still never came back so I went to go look for you. When I saw you getting beat up, I couldn't help but try and protect you. It killed me when I saw you like that on the ground." He started getting a little teary eyed. " I will do anything for you, you are too important for me to let go of you.

"Hey," I said. I wiped away his tear. "I will never leave you."

This made him smile and so I smiled. He leaned in and kisses me. I could feel the spark that left when he was gone but it came back. He whispers in my ear "I love you and I will never leave you."
