Chapter 5

Ashton still stood there open mouthed. The front doors opened also and Luke and Calum appeared with expressions matching Ashton’s.

“We just can’t leave you two alone now can we?” Calum teased. The boys laughed as they got in the car. Luke was carrying two bottles of Grey Goose vodka.

“Nice hickey by the way Payton.” Luke winked. All the boys started laughing. I blushed a deep red and looked in the rearview mirror at the extremely noticeable purplish hickey on my neck. Michael looked very proud of himself.

The rest of the car ride consisted of jokes and teasing towards me and Michael. As we drove I tried my best to cover up the hickey with concealer so my parents wouldn’t see it. It was basically covered by the time we got to my house. They were dropping me off so I could get some sleepover stuff then I could just walk to Ashton’s when I’m done since we live on the same street.

“See you guys in like an hour.” I said. They were still laughing about the Michael incident as they drove off. I rolled my eyes and walked through the door. I said hi to my parents in the kitchen. It was about 6 o’clock so I decided that I’ll just have dinner here before I go to Ashton’s.

“What are you making?” I asked smelling the air.

“Fettuccini Alfredo. Your favorite!” My mom smiled.

“Yaay!” I squealed getting overly too excited about food. “Can I sleepover at Ashton’s tonight?” I asked.

“Sure.” She replied. “After dinner?”

“Duh. I wouldn’t miss out on Fettuccini.” I laughed and walked up the stairs to my room.

I threw my purse on my bed and got my tna bag, that I use for sleepovers, out of my closet. I threw in some pink plaid pajama bottoms and a plain black tank for pajamas, an outfit for tomorrow and my Victoria’s Secret swimsuit for Ash’s hot tub. I also threw in my makeup bag, a brush, toothbrush, and my straightener. My hair was still in a ponytail so I took it out and straightened it quickly then threw it back in my bag. My hair is mainly already straight but it gets a little wavy sometimes so I straighten in on occasion. I never put any makeup on this morning so I swiped some concealer underneath my eyes, drew on a thin line of black eyeliner and put on some mascara. I touched up the makeup over my hickey and powdered it so my parents wouldn’t notice while we eat dinner.

“Dinners ready!” My mom called. I put my makeup back in my bag and zipped it up. I grabbed my iphone from my desk and brought my stuff downstairs so I can leave right after dinner.

My parents were already sitting at the table so I sat down and dug right in.

“Where’s Collin?” I asked noticing his absence.

“He’s at Robbie’s house.” She replied. Robbie is Collin’s best friend. Did I mention he is super hot?

I finished my last bite of the pasta and put my plate in the sink. I noticed my mom looking at my neck.

“Why do you have makeup on your neck?” My mom questioned suspiciously. Fuck.

“I uh have a zit.” I said unconvincingly.

“On your neck?”

“Yep. Weird huh?” I rushed trying to get away before she questioned me more. I quickly brushed my teeth then grabbed my bag. I said bye to my parents and walked out the front door. Phew. It was around 7 when I left. Ashton lives three houses down from me so it only took me like 2 minutes to get there. I didn’t bother knocking cause his parents weren’t home anyway and even if they were, they wouldn’t care.
