Chapter 6

"Awee!"

"Shhhh don't wake them up!"

I tried to drone out the murmuring voices but I couldn't. I burrowed my head into Michael's neck, his hair tickling my face. I groaned, angry I was woken up. I peeked open one eyelid. Calum and Luke were staring at Michael and I. Ashton looked really pissed. I ignored him though and squeezed my eyes shut, pouting. I hate being woken up. I wrapped my arms tighter around Michael's waist snuggling closer trying to fall back asleep. I imagine we looked pretty darn cute. We were cuddled up in a big fluffly blanket with lots of pillow surrounding us. 

"Are you going to get up now?" Calum asked.

"No. Fuck off." I grumbled. I am definately not a morning person.

"Woah there Payton. We are going to IHOP so you might wanna get up. Plus it's already 12 noon." Luke added. That woke me up a little. I really want pancakes right now. I still refused to get up though so they said I had half an hour to get up or they're leaving without me. Michael got up to start getting ready but I stayed in bed for 20 more minutes. I finally gathered up enough energy to get out of bed and I dragged myself up. I looked around. Ashton was sitting on his bed on his phone but the other guys were nowhere to be seen. Probably getting ready. Ash still looked pissed so I flopped onto his bed and wrapped my arms around his shoulders from the side.

"You okay, Ashy?" I said.

"I thought you were going to stay away from him Payton. He's going to hurt you." He said partly angry and partly worried. I frowned.

"So did I but I don't think I can control it anymore." I said.

"You need to stay away from him." He said demandingly. I stared at him. 

"You know you can't tell me what to do right?" I stated getting slightly annoyed at his possesiveness. He sighed. 

"I know. But please Payton I know him. He's going to treat you like shit and I can't sit here and watch him walk all over you." He sounded defeated.

"He won't." I said "And if he does Collin and his crew can beat him up." I tried to cheer him up with a little humour. He smiled half-heartedly

"I'll help." He chuckled slightly. I  gave him a hug and kissed him on the cheek.

"I better get ready." I said. I grabbed my bag and went into the guest bathroom. I slipped on a black cropped tank and tucked it into my teal high waisted flowy skirt. It was pretty short so I put some black lululemon shorts underneath. I scrunched my hair with some mousse to make it more wavy and put on a bit of makeup. Today I winged my eyeliner out a bit and put some sparkly white eyeshadow on my inner corners of my eye. I coated my lashes in mascara and walked back into Ashton's room.

The boys were all waiting for me. Ash looked a little less upset but  you could tell it was still bothering him. 

"Ready to go?" Calum asked, addressing the whole group. Everyone nodded and we all piled into Calum's truck. Calum was driving as usual, I was in the front and Michael, Luke, and Ashton were in the back. Ashton was quieter than usual. I felt really bad but he can’t tell me what to do. In the back of my mind I know that he’s right but I’m too damn stubborn to admit it.

We arrived at IHOP and I jumped out of the car and practically ran into the restaurant. I was suuupper hungry. I barely even had a hangover surprisingly. The boys followed close behind and I got us a table for six. I texted Kaylee when we were driving and she was meeting us for breakfast. We sat down at a circle booth. I was sitting beside Calum, next to him was Michael, Luke then Ashton. I left a space on the other side of me for when Kaylee got here. She arrived 5 minutes later and sat beside me. She greeted the boys and Luke introduced her to Michael. She waved at him and winked at me. I told her everything so I had obviously told her about Michael. I blushed and we all ordered our food. We talked while we waited and Kaylee motioned for me to come to the bathroom with her. We excused ourselves and walked into the ladies room.
