Big Secrets, Little Time

Chapter Nine

I lay in the hospital bed looking up at the ceiling not able to sleep.

It was nearly two in the morning and I hadn't slept since 7 am.

I missed RT and wanted to be with him so slowly and carefully I got up and headed to his room.

I slowly opened the door to see a girl crying next to RT.

"I was so worried when I heard what happened." She said in a hushed tone.

"Why are you hear at 2 am Lilac?" He asked her.

I could hear both concern and annoyance in his voice.

"Because I miss you." She whispered.

"Lilac please go." He said.

"Don't lie I know you miss me to." She said.

"Look Lilac at one point I liked you a lot maybe even loved you but it's been a very long time since then and there is no longer an us." He said straight forward.

"Fine." She said.

She slowly got up so I started backing up but then she spoke again.

"But first." She leaned in and kissed him.

I could tell she loved him because the emotion she put into the kiss with him was the same that I did and it angered me.

The worst part was he didn't pull back, he kissed her back.

I ran back to my room in the best way I could and laid back down.

I never wanted to get up again.

"Are you sure?" My mother asked with concern in her eyes.

"Yes." I said.

I had asked for my release so I could have bed rest at home so I wasn't so lonely.

The doctors made me fill out forms saying I wanted to leave and that I could get out of bed unless to use the bathroom or in case of emergency for the next two weeks.

"RT wants to see you." Jennifer said when she walked into the room.

"Tell him I've already left." I said while my mom pushed my wheel chair towards the exit.

"But.."

"Just do it." I said cutting her off.

-RT POV-

Around 12 o'clock in the afternoon the hospital let me leave.

All my stitches were done and they said they had no need to do anything else but if I felt any pain at all I should come back immediately.

I hadn't seen Kingsley in over 24 hours so I decided the first place to go would be here house.

When I arrived her mom answered happy to see me.

"She's in her room." She said opening the door wide enough so I could enter.

Once I got upstairs I saw Kingsley laying the opposite way the door was facing so I assumed she was asleep.

"Get out." She growled.

"I don't know who you think it is but its me RT don't worry." I said.
