Big Secrets, Little Time

Chapted Thirteen

RT and I walked into the school the next day hand in hand. Heads turned our way but we ignored them as we talked.

"Just act like nobodies looking." I said.

"It's hard I'm worried someone will recognize me since I now have all this attention on me." He said.

"It's okay." I said reassuringly squeezing his hand.

He kept his eyes only on me as we kept walking.

Jennifer ran up to me.

"Please just talk to me Kingsley please." She begged.

"No." I whispered shaking my head.

I felt really dizzy like I was gonna pass out.

I saw RT from the other side of the hallway and waved him over.

"Look Kingsley I'm-" She was cut off.

"Don't talk to her she doesn't want to listen to you." RT said.

Jennifer turned around. "What do you care you're not with her." She said.

"Yah he is." I whispered feeling dizzier by the second.

"Yah so you should-" He stopped talking and starred at me.

"What's wrong?" He asked pushing passed Jennifer and grabbing my shoulders.

"I'm not sure I've just felt really dizzy." I whisper.

"Why are you whispering." He asks.

"Because talking is making it worse." I whisper again.

"Hey, hey look at me." He said grabbing me.

I must have have almost fallen but I hadn't noticed.

"Come on." He said.

He slowly lifted me up and started carrying me to the nurse.

I looked up a little to see Jennifer looking shocked as we walked away from her.

The nurse had told RT to go back to class but he wouldn't leave my side so she just rolled her eyes and let him stay obviously not in the mood to argue.

"You're just really dehydrated." She said.

She handed me a bottle of water and handed a second one to RT to put into my bag.

"Have you been drinking at all today?" She asked.

"I had one of those small bottles of water the school gives you at lunch." I said.

"That's defiantly not enough so stay this period and rest and drink them if you seem better I'll send you back to class next period." She said.

"And young man it's time to go to your class." She pulled out passes and wrote down his name and the class he was going to after he told her.

"You'll be okay." He said smiling but I could tell he was worried.

"I know." I said reassuringly kissing him on the cheek.

"Just let me drive." I grumbled for the 5th time.

"No hand me the keys." RT said.

He wouldn't let me drive because I had almost passed out and he thought I might again.
