A/N: Sorry for the lateness. I was shopping! I bought very little. But was gone for very long. Funny how that works out?

Lime jello.

I liked it. A lot. I'd have to ask Scott if I could eat that with my oatmeal. Greta was my favorite nurse. She would take me to the empty part of the hallway and push me in a wheelchair. She'd go really fast even though Hanna, my least favorite nurse said it was too dangerous.

I felt really lousy about what'd happened. I was so stupid. Going near the water when I couldn't swim and...and Scott was really sick now because of it.

I wanted to apologize but Hanna wouldn't let me see Scott.

I pulled the film back on the jello. I could have one whenever I wanted. And they didn't hurt my tummy at all so I took advantage of it. Plus, I didn't have to use a spoon.

I slurped the jello, settling into the lumpy hospital bed. The TV was on--this show was different. They were making food. I watched the lady throwing everything into a pan and finished off the jello.

Maybe I could cook like that.

A man appeared in the doorway. The only people who came in here were the nurses and the man who took away the trash. He didn't look like him but else could be?

I held out the empty container. The man took it, pitching it into the trash. "Puppy, I presume?"

"I'm Puppy! Can I have more jello?"

The man peered into the trash. "It looks like you've had plenty." He replied. "There's someone who wants to see you."

"Really?" I asked. "I don't think I've had that many. Maybe one more?"

"Did you hear me? Scott wants to see you."

"I only like the green one--lime. Maybe just one more?"

"I understand you want some jello. You can have some."

"The green kind. Lime."

"Yes. I'll call it in while we go see Scott."

Scott? "He's okay?" I asked excitedly. I bit my lip. "Is he mad at me?"

"No. In fact he's really worried about you."

"We can see him?"

"That's right."

I slid off the bed, tugging down the gown. "Can I have pants?"

"Good question. I'll see about that while you're visiting with your Dom."

I put my feet into the fluffy white shoes--slippers Hanna called them. She said I had to wear them. That I couldn't be bare foot. She had so many rules. I followed him down a busy hallway. People in white coats rushing around. I found myself staring a few times, stopping dead in the hallway. The man had to take my arm and tug me a bit.

I didn't like to be pulled but he said I couldn't stand there--I was in the way. We went to Scott's room. It was really nice inside. There was wallpaper instead of the white, white walls. And his bed was bigger and looked comfortable.

But Scott...he was so pale. He had a needle in his arm that made me queasy to look at. "Puppy," he greeted. "How are you?"

At least he sounded the same. "I'm a bad, stupid boy," I whispered, kneeling by the bed. The floors were carpeted.

"None of that. I'm just happy that you're okay."

"You got hurt because of me. You're...you're not going to die are you?"
