Rollan lowered himself down into the hole into who knows where. He was scared. First he stuck his foot below. Nothing happened. So he lowered him self lower and finally jumped down. Right when he landed, something flew at his head nearly impaling it. It missed by about a centimeter and stuck out of the cave wall. He turned to see a pale dark haired dark eyed girl looking as if she just threw something.

"Meilin!" He smiled feeling himself 10x lighter. "Your safe!"
Meilin looked just as stunned and just stared at him eyes wide. "Rol-Rollan?" She sputtered.

"Meilin!" He said again running towards her throwing his arms around her. Stunned Meilin toppled backward with Rollan on top of her. She braced herself up with her elbows blinking at him. Rollan blushed as he pushed himself off of her.

"Sorry." He mumbled beside her.

Meilin smiled. "Where've you been?" She asked.

Rollan grinned back. "Looking for you!" He laughed.
Meilin laughed too. A happy sound that filled Rollan's heart with joy. It had been so long since he's heard her laugh. He scooted closer to her and she didn't seem to notice. She just sat up leaning against the cavern wall.

"Rollan?" Asked a voice from above. A head peeked in trough the hole. Tasha's blonde pigtail flopped behind her.

"Rollan! You scared us! But we heard you and..." she looked at Meilin.

"This is Meilin." Rollan replied smiling.

"Oh." Tasha nodded not looking to enthusiastic. She lifted her head above ground then appeared again jumping in followed by Abeke.

"I see you found what you came for." Abeke grinned at Rollan who blushed. "Conner!" Abeke cried noticing him in the corner and rushed over to him. "You're not a slave to the parasite! Good, now where is it?" She asked.

Tasha stood frowning at Meilin. "So this is Meilin?" She asked.

"Yeah." Rollan said glancing at Meilin who was brushing dirt out of her messy hair. She looked over at him and he quickly looked away realizing he was staring.

"And you are?" Meilin asked Tasha.

"I'm Tasha. Summoner if Ninani." Tasha replied releasing the swan who seemed to glow compared to the dull surroundings.

Meilin nodded unimpressed. "I'm Meilin. As you know, and I summoned Jhi." Hearing her name, the panda ambled over plopping herself on the other side of Meilin.

"I've heard." Tasha said flatly. "Rollan and I have been trying to collect the great beasts."

"I know." Meilin nodded. We discussed this before we left. Conner, Tokoda and I explore down here while Rollan and Abeke track the great beasts." She nodded to Ninani. "And I see they've succeeded."

"Yeah, we also found Caboro." Tasha said her voice still flat.

"What have you guys been up to?" Rollan asked Meilin breaking the tension.

Meilin turned to him. Pushing some of her dark hair behind her ear. "Well we traveled through caves and eventually found the Evertree roots." She said simply then stood. She brushed off some more dirt then then seemed to be walking over to Tasha but passed her and instead pulled her half quarterstaff from the cavern wall.

Tasha frowned again. "Why's that there?" She asked.

Rollan grinned. "It's what she used to almost kill me."
Tasha raised an eyebrow in Meilin's direction.

"It was an accident." Meilin protested walking back over to him and sat down between him and Jhi. "I didn't know it was you. And your lucky I missed." She said picking dirt from her half quarterstaff.

"I am lucky." He said quietly, taking her hand. "Very." He grinned.
