After aimlessly roaming around the halls of the Redcloak's ship, Tasha was wondering if Rollan knew where he was going.

"Are you sure we should of turned right back there?" Tasha asked anxiously for like the 500th time.

"Of course. Now stop questioning me and my skills." Rollan snapped obviously annoyed.

Tasha nodded. Rollan had become extra grumpy after a while of wandering. Tasha hadn't the slightest idea why because he never turned around for her to read his face. It was probably intentional. Tasha sighed. They were lost in a below decks of a ship when they probably passed the exit a couple thousand times.

A few minutes more passed and they were no where closer to finding Abeke, Kirat or a way out.

"Ok, we're lost." Rollan admitted, stopping. Tasha caught up with him but didn't say anything while Rollan looked at her expectantly.

"What?" She asked finally uncomfortable.

Rollan blinked. "Oh, sorry. I just keep thinking about how Meilin would call me an idiot and be telling me that she should have lead the way in the beginning if she was here." He sighed sadly and turned away beginning to walk forward again.

"That's not nice." Tasha said walking after him.

"I guess...but I sort of miss it." He said with a shrug smiling to himself.

"Oh." Weird. She thought. He missed being teased by this Meilin girl. Tasha had never met a guy who missed being teased and insulted. That's why she found Rollan intriguing. He was different and interesting. But he obviously had eyes for this Meilin.

"Oh! I think this is the way out!" Rollan called from a few feet ahead. He had gotten ahead while she was thinking. Tasha raced towards him and saw that he indeed did find the way out. It was a hall that lead back to the archway into the room they were in before.

"Told you we weren't lost." Rollan grinned.

Tasha smiled. Was he always like this? Rollan smiled too but not at her. His eyes were clouded as if he was remembering something for before.

"Rollan?" She said. He didn't reply. "Rollan!" She called.
Rollan's eyes went back to normal as if he snapped out of a trance.

"What?" He asked her rubbing his ear. "No need to scream. Gosh."

"You weren't replying." She said looking at him curiously. What could have he been thinking of that made him so happy? He sort of looked like when he was thinking of Meilin...dreamy.

"Oh. Sorry. I didn't realize it." He shrugged.

"It's fine." She replied deciding not to dwell on the subject.

"I think I'll go above decks to...help Shane with some stuff." Rollan said heading for the stairs that lead above deck.

"Ok." Tasha nodded even though she could tell it was a lie.

Rollan nodded back looking relived for a reason Tasha didn't understand. Tasha waited till Rollan's footsteps faded to release Ninani. The swan honked. Looking at her knowingly.

"I know." Tasha whispered. "I like him too."
