Luke : age 17

Luke smiled as he woke up, and ran to Michael's room.

It was a Saturday, and he wanted nothing more than to spend the day with Michael.

He ran into the purple haired boys room, and jumped on the bed, landing on Michael's waist gently. "Mikey!" Luke whisper shouted, and poked Michael's chest.

"Get off of me." He heard Michael mumble.

"You can't tell me what to do on my special day!" Luke said, and laid down on Michael's chest. Michael groaned and pushed Luke off of him roughly.

Luke rolled his eyes, knowing how grumpy Michael got in the morning. "Cmon. We're gonna watch Disney movies all day!" Luke said, and Michael stood up out of bed.

"I'm going over to Ashton's today." Michael mumbled, stretching.

"But-"

"I think I'm just gonna spend the night there." Michael told him, and Luke's face dropped.

"Are you really going?" Luke asked, and Michael nodded, giving him a confused look.

"I thought you would stay here with me today and watch Aladdin and Tangled and maybe even Fr-"

"Luke you're 16 years old. Grow up." Michael mumbled, becoming annoyed with Luke.

"But-"

"Luke can you please get out?" Michael asked, becoming frustrated.

"But today's my-"

"Luke!" Michael shouted, and Luke stood up quickly running from Michael's room. He didn't want Michael to yell at him.

"I'm seventeen." Luke mumbled, walking to the living room. He looked at all of the stuff he had set up the night before, and felt tears form in his eyes.

He walked over to the blanket fort that he spent an hour trying to make. He saw a few presents from Michael's mom, but not one of them was from Michael. He didn't want a present from Michael. Luke told him several weeks ago that if he would just spend the whole day with Luke for his birthday, that would be enough.

Michael promised.

But Michael forgot about Luke.

Calum was on vacation so he couldn't call him, and he didn't really have any other close friends. He would've spent the day with Karen, but she has to work.

So Luke was alone today.

"Happy birthday, Luke." He whispered to himself as he plopped down on the couch.

"I'm leaving!" Michael shouted from the door.

"Okay." Luke said back, a crack evident in his voice. He didn't want Michael to go.

Michael furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as he walked into the pitch black house. The only light was coming from the tv in the living room.

He ended up coming home instead of spending the night because his mom said someone needed to be with Luke.

"Don't listen to him! He doesn't actually love you! He's a dick!" He heard Luke yell, followed by a few sobs. He walked into the living room, and saw Luke watching a movie, and crying his eyes out. Michael looked at the coffee table, and saw four presents.

"Luke?" He asked softly, but Luke didn't even look at him.

"I forgot it was your birthday." Michael said and Luke looked over at him.

"Yeah. I kinda got that when you yelled at me this morning." He mumbled.

"Why didn't you remind me?" Michael asked, and sat beside him.

"I tried, but you screamed at me. I didn't want you to yell at me again." Luke said, and turned his attention away from Michael.

"Luke I'm so sorry." Michael whispered.

"Can I sleep in your bed tonight?" Luke asked, looking over at Michael with teary eyes.

Michael couldn't say no, no matter how bad he wanted to. Luke was so hurt, and he couldn't turn him down.

He took too long to answer before Luke stood up.

"Never mind. You don't want me in there." He whispered, and left the room quickly.

"Luke, you can sleep in my room." Michael called out, and he didn't know it, but that made Luke smile.
