Luke sat on the edge of the cliff by himself, wishing Michael was holding him.
He watched the sun go down, and cars drive below him as tears fell from his eyes.
He wanted Michael here with him. Not with Connor. He wanted Michael to whisper sweet things in his ear, and tell him he's beautiful. He needs Michael to tell him he beautiful because that was the last thing he was feeling.
He checked his phone, and saw it was past 10 p.m. and he had seven missed calls from Michael, and a few texts.
He didn't want to call him back, so he just texted, 'I'm not dead. Stop calling. I'll be home later' and laid his phone down.
Michael should be behind him, kissing his neck. He should be hearing a stupid joke right about now. He should be tangling his fingers with Michael's.
"Luke?! What the hell?" Michael yelled, spotting the blonde boy on the edge of the cliff.
Luke didn't turn around. He didn't want to leave.
"Luke, it's late. We need to get home. Don't worry, my moms not there to get mad at us for coming home so late, so-"
"I don't wanna go." Luke mumbled.
"Well too bad. You have to." Michael said, and Luke stood up, grabbing his car keys. He walked to the car he drove here, and got in, locking the doors.
"Roll the window down." Michael said through the window.
Luke started the car, and rolled down the window for Michael, still not talking though.
"Why are you mad?" Michael asked, but Luke kept his gaze strait ahead on the scenery before him.
"Luke, talk to me." Michael said, but Luke only backed up, and drove down the little path, not wanting to talk.
He cried the whole way home. Could Michael not see how hurt he was? He felt insecure, scared, stupid, and he knew he was the reason Michael was so annoyed.
Luke got home before Michael, and when he walked in, he heard footsteps.
"Mikey!" He heard someone call. Luke looked up the stairs, and saw Connor coming out of him and Michael's room.
Luke walked up the stairs, and went into him and Michael's room, shocked when he saw their messed up bed that was currently made. "What were you doing in here?" Luke asked calmly.
"Michael said I could sleep in here tonight." Connor said, and Luke looked back at him.
"What? This is our bed." Luke said in disbelief.
He looked down the stairs, and saw Michael walk in the door.
"Michael this is our bed." Luke said, and Michael nodded. "I know, but there's a leak in the guest room, so I said he could sleep in there."
"And where are we gonna go?" Luke asked, walking down the stairs.
"Well, since he's a guest I didn't wanna make him sleep on the couch, so I thought you would." Michael said, causing Luke's eyes to fill up with tears.
"You're gonna sleep in the same bed with him?" Luke asked quietly so only Michael could hear.
"Yeah. I didn't think it would be a problem.." Michael said, and Luke shook his head.
"Please don't." Luke cried, wiping his eyes.
"What the hell are you crying over?" Michael asked, and sat his keys down.
Luke grabbed Michael's hand, and led him into the kitchen.
"I don't want him in there with you. Just let him sleep in there alone, and we can burn the sheets in the morning." He said, trying to make himself laugh, and quit crying.
"That was mean." Michael mumbled, causing Luke's face to drop again.
"Michael, can you not see how uncomfortable that makes me feel? You two have been flirting the whole time he's been here." Luke said, and Michael rolled his eyes.
"Get over it, Luke." Michael mumbled, and shook his head at the blonde boy.
"Just, please stay with me. Even when we're mad at each other, you still hold me when I'm trying to go to sleep. I want that." Luke said, trying to smile.
"Should've thought about that before you were a total bitch."
