My daydreaming was cut short. I could hear the familiar call from downstairs signaling that it was time for dinner. I began to make my way to the dining room without a care in the world when I started to feel very odd. My head began to pound and it felt like the room was spinning beneath my feet.

"W-what's happening?" I asked myself in an unsteady voice. It felt like someone was repeatedly hitting my head with a large hammer. The pain was unbearable. I clutched the banister to regain my balance while keeping a hand on my head as if I thought I might be able to relieve my pain. Reality started to blur. I could feel myself slipping in and out of consciousness. Very faintly, I was able to detect voices. They belonged to my grandparents surprisingly. I could see them running towards me with horror stricken expressions plastered across their faces. They rushed to my side as I staggered back and forth on the elegant staircase.

"Scarlet, what's wrong?" my grandmother cried as my grandfather tried to hold me steady.

"I-I'm not sure," I said shakily. "My head, it's pounding. I'm so d-dizzy," though my vision was blurring I was able to detect two other figures running in my direction as well. One with dark purple-blue hair and the other with blonde ponytails.

"G-Garren? Andrea?" I said with the little strength I had. They were soon standing around me alongside my grandparents. Within a matter of minutes I collapsed like dead weight on the wooden stairs.

I awoke in a small, empty room. Though there was some light, the cold feeling of darkness and death were definitely present. I was sitting on the ground in a small corner trying to figure out where I was and why I was here. I guess that had to wait because soon I began to sense that I wasn't alone. I could feel a strong yet ominous feeling. Another person? No the energy felt too evil and dark to be human. My suspicions were confirmed as a dark figure took a step in my direction.

"A demon," I hissed in disgust. "Mi should have known." I could tell that this demon was a women by her figure and I could also determine that she was older. However, that is all the information I could gather. She was nothing more than a shadow with blood red eyes. Those eyes were full of madness. The women took another few paces closer to me and chuckled a bit.

"Why am I here?" I questioned. "What do you want? I demand to know!" She simply laughed again.

"Why my dear, you're here so that I can have a little talk with you," she said in a sour voice. "I just want to talk in private with you." I folded my arms and stared up at her with a face of hatred.

"What if I don't want to listen to what you have to say?" I hissed.

"Oh I'm not worried about that," she said. "I'm sure that you will listen very well."

"Oh really now?" I said with a sarcastic smirk. "And what makes you think that?" I could tell she was getting irritated. She abruptly grabbed hold of my wrist and pulled my towards her. I struggled to try to free myself but it was no use. She had a very tight grip and I could see that she didn't intend to let go.

"You insolent girl," she said bitterly. "I don't think you fully understand what I am capable of. Now listen to me, I will give you until the next full moon to decide to join me." I struggled more to get free while keeping a determined face.

"Join you?" I sneered. "Why in my right mind would I ever join you? and why would you need me to? I thought you demons wanted me out of the picture."

"Quite the contrary actually. We need your power," she said lifting my hair revealing the mark across my eye. "Yes. the Rose is the key. A power like yours is of much use to me."

"You devil! I won't join you!" I shouted. She smirked now holding me by the collar of my dress.

"Have it your way," she said. "But if you decline my offer," she paused as the madness grew in her eyes, "then everyone you love and hold so dear to you will meet a horrible end." I was taken aback by this. My grandparents. Andrea. Garren. Would she really try to kill them if I didn't cooperate? She leaned close to my ear. "It's your choice," she whispered. "You have three days to decide." Before I could even comprehend what had happened, I woke up surrounded by my grandparents along with Garren and Andrea. They all had concerned gazes as they all questioned me if I was alright. I nodded but I truly wasn't okay. All I could think about was that demon lady. Her dark words echoed through my mind over and over.

"It's your choice. You have three days to decide"...
