All I could do is stare at Laura with a look of confusion and shock. "What do you mean that there isn't a gardener named Garren?" I muttered at last. "I met him! He taught me to dance! He rescues me from certain death! He works here!" I was frustrated and confused. Laura kept her hand on my shoulder and looked me in the eyes. "I'm sure someone saved you dear," she started. "But there is no gardener named Garren here. I'm not even sure we have a gardener come to think of it." She stood up and rushed back into the manor. I sat there alone under the willow tree thinking. When she was talking to me I could detect a bit of hesitation in her voice. I could also see nervousness in her eyes and she was quick to rush off at the mention of Garren. Laura must be hiding something. Great. More secrets. I hobbled back inside with a lot on my mind. The rest of the day went basically normal although I hardly left my room. Laura seemed to keep her distance from me. I had to know what was going on. When it was time for me to prepare for bed Laura came and helped me. Throughout my nightly routine she glanced at me and asked "Dear, why exactly do you cover your eye with your hair? Your eyes are so beautiful!" This question caught me off guard. Why the sudden interest in why my hair covers my eye. Wait a minute she never saw my scar. I always made sure to keep it covered. I figured that it would be alright if Laura knew. I lifted up my hair that revealing the rose-shaped mark on my eye. "I cover my eye because of this," I stated at last. "I've had this scar for as long as I can remember." Laura examined it for quite a while. Finally she rushed me to bed and sweetly said goodnight. She closed the door and I started to drift off into sleep. Then I heard voices outside. I pulled myself out of the comfort of my bed and hobbled to the window. I saw figures outside in all black. One was a taller male with dark grey hair. The other was a women with red hair. I pressed my ear to the window so that I could hear them. "Are you sure she's the one," said a man's voice. "Yes I am sure!" hissed the woman. The man seemed to be angry with the tone of voice she used. "Do not anger me agent 26! On a different note your undercover work at Blackwood manor seems to be going well." I saw the women nod. "Yes Mark. Everything is going according to plan. I found out that the Dark Angel is hiding out around the manor." He smiled. I guess his name was Mark. "Very good agent 26." She giggled. "Don't call me agent 26 Mark. Call me by my name." She paused and smiled deviously. "Laura." I backed away from the window. I still don't understand. What is Laura doing. Wait did he say "the one we are looking for?" That sounds similar to what Zachary said. Does this mean Laura is a demon? I had to many thoughts buzzing around my brain that it gave me a head ache. Tomorrow I will search for Garren. He can help me. I will also have to keep my eye on sweet little Laura.
