|Chapter Eleven: Friends With Benefits.|
Olivia.
While the boys discussed their plans for Olivia’s utter humiliation and demise she excused herself temporarily for “the bathroom” which was secret code for “I’m really going somewhere secluded for a phone call.”
She thought about going outside, but she had a feeling that if she did, she would be found out by yet another person. She couldn’t risk it. She escaped the dining hall and searched for a stairwell. When she found one she pulled the door open and climbed the stairs until she found herself standing atop of the roof. Before she pulled out her cell phone to make a much needed phone call she searched the roof to see if she could find any loitering bodies around.
When she found none she pressed her back against the door and hoped that what little body weight and strength she had would be enough to keep the door closed in case someone came up.
She pulled out her phone and dialed a familiar number. For a moment the line was silent before the dial tone picked up. “Come on. Pick up, pick up, pick up.” She murmured into the phone.
There was a soft click and then, “Hello?”
Olivia let out a relieved sigh. “Josie, I’m so happy to hear your voice.”
“Liv?” She screeched in surprise. “What’re you doing calling so soon? It hasn’t even been a full day yet.”
Olivia shrugged as she pulled off her wig, letting her hair cascade around her shoulders. “I guess I just missed hearing the sound of your voice.” She said facetiously.
“Har-dee-har-har. You are sooo hilarious! But seriously, why are you calling? Did something happen?”
“Yes.”
“What? Already?” She shrieked. There were murmurs in the background that followed her sudden outburst. “Hold on I’m going to put you on speaker; Tanner and Essie are here.”
Olivia waited until she heard, “Liv are you alright? Who’s ass do I have to kick?” (Tanner) and “Livvy I love and misses you lots! How are you?” (Essie).
“Hey guys. I miss you too Essie, and no Tanner, you don’t need to kick anyone’s ass…yet.”
“Good. So what’s with the phone call?”
“Well,” She hedged. “I’ve been found out guys.”
“What?!” They all screamed.
She let out a sigh. “Yeah. It was totally a mistake. I was taking a shower and—”
“What?! You were taking a shower. In your dorm. Where you were naked. With a guy in the room?!?” Tanner yelled. He was not happy.
“Yeah,” Olivia shrugged. “It’s no big deal, there’s a lock on the door.”
“Does the lock actually work?” He asked in distaste.
Olivia blushed. “No, but—”
“But what Olivia? How could you have been so stupid? If the lock wasn’t working of course you were going to get caught.” There was a pause. “Did he…Did he see you naked?”
Olivia blushed wildly. The reality of the situation crashed in on her; slammed into her stomach. If she thought it was embarrassing within the actual moment, admitting it aloud to her friends seemed to be stomach churning, blush inducing, and heart poundingly embarrassing. “Yes…”
