Daehyun’s POV:

I woke up to an alarm I set around 1 in the morning. As quietly as I could be, I packed a bag of some of my “normal” looking clothes, a black mask to cover my face, my debit card, my parents’ emergency credit card, my broken laptop (that I had recently put in a zip lock baggy), and a couple of essentials including deodorant, toothbrush, comb, and my phone charger.

I swung the bag over my shoulder and slowly opened up my door. I peeked out and saw no one around, so I left my room, taking one last look. As I was making my way to the stairs, I heard a door open. I turned to see my father exiting the bathroom, stealing a glance towards me.

Where the fuck do you think you’re going?” I widen my eyes and tried to figure out a good excuse.

Just to… a friend’s house.” I muttered, not keeping eye contact with him.

Yeah, the fuck you are.” I stood there frozen as he made his way towards me, grabbed my arm and forced me back into my room. He shut the door and locked it. “Grow the fuck up, Daehyun. You’ll thank us later.” He growled, before his footsteps retreated. I sighed and rubbed my arm as I looked over at my window. I walked over and opened it, noticing how far up I really was.

I discarded my bag quickly and let it fall into the bushes just below my window. I climbed over the sill and slowly lowered myself until I was just dangling from the ledge. I held my breath and let go, praying to the God’s I’d survive. I tried to land on my feet, bad idea, but landed wrong and fell backwards with a loud yelp.  I winced as I ran my hand over my ankle. Crap. I took out my cell and called the one person I knew I could trust.

Yoboseyo?” His voice sounded groggy and tired.

Hey Yongguk, can I get a ride please.” I asked.

Why can’t you drive yourself? Why are you leaving? And where to?” He asked, slowly waking up.

I just jumped out of my window and hurt my ankle. I am running away and I need a ride to the train station. Please hurry. I’ll try to limp over to the gas station down the block so that if my parents notice I’m gone before you get here, I can hide somewhere.” I hesitantly stood up and reached for my bag, slowly limping towards the curb.

Yeah yeah, ok. I’ll be there as soon as possible.” I smiled softly as he hung up. Good friend. I hissed with every step made towards our meeting place. I was about to cross the street to the station when a car pulled up. The passenger window came down and I saw Yongguk leaning over. “Hey sexy, how much are you worth?” I smirked and got in the car.

Way too much for you; plus I’m straight.” I chuckled as the car started moving.

Are you?” Yongguk cocked an eyebrow at me. “Hyun-Jin told me that you said you were gay.

She told you?” I scuffed.

She is my sister dude.” I turned to see Yongguk rolling his eyes. “I can’t believe you told your family you are gay, just so you didn’t have to marry my sister.” He mumbled.

I’m sorry Guk, but I want to marry someone I love. Plus, I don’t even know my sexuality. Am I gay? Am I straight? Am I bi? I’m not sure, because I haven’t had to the time or patience to find out. All people care about is my money and looks.” I grumbled.
