The New Girl

It was an early Wednesday morning in Downtown City. However, it was no ordinary day for there was gonna be a brand new student entering the halls of Downtown City High!

Olive's P.O.V
I was currently in the main office of my brand new school! My parents thought that at this point of my life, I should attend an actual public school and make some actual friends!....
Friends?
All my life, I've always been homeschooled. However, I've grown to despise it. Of course I did learn the basics such as reading,writing,math, and all that other stuff. Plus I've been on track as to what I would have been learning in an actual school.
But friends?
I've never really had any real "friends" before, besides the numerous amount of cousins I have. The Shellstein's have an enormous family! I don't even know where to begin with THAT...
Well anyways, I'm in the office waiting for the lady at the front desk to hand me my class schedule. I look over at the clock. It was half past 6. Why did I even come in so early? I sighed as I played with my fingers. I was feeling anxious. I've always been really shy around others. It's a problem I've always had. Now how do I say this?...

It's like being a turtle hiding inside its shell. That's exactly how I react.

"Olive Shellstein?" The lady had returned...with an entire folder.
"Y-Yes?" I quietly said, making my way to the counter. She handed me a folder with my name on it. Now I was curious. What are all these papers? She then hands me a separate little card with my class schedule printed on it.
"This folder contains the school's guidelines,policy,rules,etc,etc...Do you have any questions for me, sweetie?"

I lightly shook my head. I'm pretty sure I'll manage...
I think...

"Well in that case, you're welcome to explore our campus until class begins. You have about an hour." She said as she looked over at the clock.

"T-Thank you..." I gave her a small smile and gathered my things. I took one last look at her and then I left.

I began to walk around the exterior of the campus. There were many tables and trees. I smiled. I absolutely love the outdoors! I could eat lunch out here!
Maybe it won't be so bad?...
I decided to sit down in one of the tables and look through the folder. As soon as I opened it, the first thing on there was a map of the campus.
Perfect.
I then proceeded in taking out a highlighter and circling all of my classes, which will make it easier to find instead of looking like a lost weirdo. Especially in front of the freshman! From what I've read, freshman are the worst...but i won't make any assumptions...
I kept looking through the binder, quickly glancing through the rules and such. I've never seen so many rules! It read something like this:

                       School Rules
1) NO chewing gum at any time!
2) NO act of violence whatsoever!
3) NO inappropriate clothing!
4)NO act of robbery!
5)Hand holding ONLY!

The list goes on...
At the very bottom, it reads, "FAILURE TO FOLLOW ANY OF THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN AN HOUR OF DETENTION (FAILURE TO SERVE DETENTION WILL RESULT IN SUSPENSION)."

Wow...
How can students manage to follow ALL these rules?

*RING*

I got startled. What was that?! I looked around and noticed more students walking around. Now I began to panic. Am I late?!?!
I quickly gathered my things and quickly ran inside.

Normal P.O.V
We cue to Olive ,who was currently running as fast as she could. Students around her stared at her with awe, and with question.
"Who is she?"
"Why is she running?
"Does she know that there's about 30 minutes till class?"
"I wonder what's for lunch?"
