Finally the weekend. I planned a camping trip with Rina, Jack and Alex. I rolled out of bed to pack. I loved camping in the fall. I opened my closet door and began to brain storm. First thing I grabbed were my combat boots. (Duh) I sat them beside my bed. I started shuffling threw my T-shirts. "How about deadpool." I thought out loud. I grabbed that shirt, a black and read flannel, and red skinnys. I turned to put them in my bag when I was scared shitless. "What the fuck do you want?" I threw my outfit into the bag walking back to my closet. "Okay, you're mad." Kammie said sarcastically. I mean fuck yeah. Who wouldn't be? I ignored her stupidity. "Well since you won't talk to me, I thought I'd return this. Miles found it in his car." She set a ring on the table and walked out. It was the friendship ring, Rina gave me. She has one too. I'm never caught without it. I couldn't believe I didn't notice it was gone. I put it back on and continued packing. It'll be nice to get away for a few days. I gathered up the rest of my things before Alex called to tell me they were here. I ran down stairs flung the from door open and turned around. It felt so weird not screaming bye dad and not giving Bell her goodbye kiss. Before I got all emotional I ran out the door slamming it shut. I threw my bags in the bag and hopped in the truck.

"Does anyone know how to set up a tent?" Jack chuckled.
"I do." I walked over to help the dumbass. We got everything set up and settled in. We had even started the fire. All four of us sat there for a minute before I broke the silence. "You know, it's funny. There used to be 7 of us. But now there's only four." I said taking a drink of the bottle Alex brought. "Kinda sad." Rina said. I think she missed Miya more than any of us. She's changed though. It's like she's a whole other person. I guess that's what high school does to you.

The next morning Rina shook me awake. "Dylin. Dylin wake up. You're gonna wanna see this." I get up slowly and stumble out of the tent. "Fuck do you want?" I said rubbing my eyes. "Just look." Alex handed me his phone. I started reading 'Inside The Murders Of Oak Hills.' - By Miya Bostwick. I read all about my father's gruesome murder. How could she do this? This is personal information. I handed Alex his phone back and started to walk down the trail. I just can't catch a break, can I? I'm so tired of this. I'm just gonna say something when I see her. But for now I refuse to let her ruin my weekend. Rina chased after me and grabbed my arm. "You can't let her get to you." She was right but I couldn't help it. Miya knew how private I am but I had to let it slide or else it'd make things worse. The boys decided we should walk down to the lake to take my mind off of things. "Shall we fish or swim?" Alex asked. "Um are you insane? It's below freezing." Jack replied. "Actually it's almost 60 but still too cold to swim." I spoke up. "Fishing it shall be." Alex grabbed rods and his dads tackle box. He looked ridiculous. We got to the lake and Rina and Jack looked lost. "What you've never fished before?" Alex laughed. "Um no. Fish is yucky." Rina said with a disgusted look on her face. She sat back and watched Alex teach Jack how to fish.
"You know, this is nice." I gripped my knee.
"It won't last." Rina shook her head.
"What do you mean?" I was so confused.
"You know things will only get worse Dylin. The killer has already killed two. Do you really think he's done?" She gave me a serious look.
"You can't be serious. The sheriff will find him before anyone else dies." I stood up.
"And if he doesn't?"
"Then I will." I walked away. If the sheriff won't do his job then someone has to. This monster killed my dad, and since no one else seems to care enough to help me then what else can I do? Right before I got to Alex my phone dinged. I checked it and it was a text from an unknown number. "You looked pretty in blue." I looked back at Rina. I was kinda scared. I mean at this point how much weirder can things get? You have no idea.
