Dance, Dance.

Formal was just right around the corner. After everything that's happened not many people want to go. Mitch hasn't asked me yet, even if he did I'd probably say no. A city wide curfew has been set like that will stop the killer. I was sitting in algebra when the sheriff came on the P.A.
"Good afternoon boys and girls. It has been brought to my attention that the dance is coming up. We'll your principal and I have agreed to demand all students come. I know this won't be easy for some of you but just know it's for your own safety. Thank you."

Are you fucking serious. Everyone started whispering and freaking out. "Perhaps that's all for today." Miss. Jax said closing her book. I waited patiently for the bell to ring. Noah walked up to me at my locker.

"Hey."

"Why are you here?" I snarl.

"I was trying to tell you I switched schools."

"Why? I don't need you to save me Noah."

"I know I'm just worried Dylin."

"Well worry about yourself please." I walked away. I can't get close to him again. I'm not worried about getting hurt. I'm worried about him getting hurt. I have to find a way to stop the killer. Mitch kept texting me asking to meet after school. Maybe he didn't do it. He couldn't have. So why do I still blame him?

After school Mitch met me in the parking lot. "I guess you're not still mad." He kisses my cheek.

"I was never mad."

"Then why shut me out?"

"You lied to me Mitch."

"What?"

"You live with Kammie. She's your step sister." He looked away. Before he could look back I was gone.

"Dylin!" I heard my name being called. I turned and it was Kellin.

"I know everyone is supposed to be going to this dance type thing. And I just wanted to know, will you go with me?" Of course not.

"Yes." I smiled. Fucking word vomit.

"I'll see you Saturday then." He grinned and walked away. I wasn't the formal type. All this girly shit is starting to piss me off. I text Kammie telling her to meet me at my house.

"Run me through what happened." She says pacing back and forth.

"Okay, I walked away from Mitch and Kellin asks me to formal. And well I said yes." I respond while staring at the floor.

"We gotta get you a dress. It's in 3 days. So much to do." She flops on my bed. I sigh.

"3 guys that mean the world to me. All in the same place. Feelings are hard." She looks at me.

"I know. It's alright. I'll be there with you. And will Rina and Devon. You always got us." She smiled. Like she meant it. She believed we could make it throw this. Maybe I do too.

We went to Kammie's to look through her dresses. She showed me tons before pulling out a long black satin dress, with a sweetheart neckline and a sky blue trim. It was absolutely stunning. I demanded to try it on. It didn't look bad. In fact it looked amazing. He agreed to let me barrow it. Then gave me a ride home.

When I got in the door Andy was sitting on the couch with his face in his hands. I dropped my bags and ran to him.

"What's wrong?"

"Kellin just called." He lifted his head. "His dad um. He found his dad hung from the tree in their back yard." He looks at me with blood shot eyes.

"Andy are you high?!?!?!" I stand up.

"I'm the adult in this house." He toward over me.

"I can't believe you." I start to pace.

"Look I can do whatever the fuck I want. I lost my dad so I'm allowed."

"For fucks sake Andy listen to yourself. He was my dad too."

"Yeah but you had more time with him than I ever did."

"I didn't ask for this okay. You have no idea how hard it was without you."

"Are you really blaming me?!!?"

"Are you blaming me for dad...?" My eyes filled with tears.

"The killers so obsessed with you so I have no choice."

"I didn't ask for any of this Andy. I just wanted my big brother to come home. I didn't want people start dying." I wipe my tears half yelling.

"Dylin, you think it's all about you huh? Some of us are losing people too."

"If I could stop it, I would..."

"Yeah right. I think you like playing the victim."

"How could you even say that." I grabbed my bags and walked out the door. I'm not staying at home tonight.

I knocked on the door. "Hello?"

"Me and Andy got into it pretty bad... can I crash here tonight?"

"Always." He smiled. We walked to his room where I sat my bags, kicked off my shoes and got in bed. He wrapped his arms around me.

"I missed you Dylin."

"I missed you too Noah."
