I got all ready for formal and waitned for Kellin. He still wanted to go even after what happened. I haven't really spoke to Andy since our little disagreement. Kammie said she'd meet me there with her mystery date. Kellin pulled up right as Andy got home. I avoided eye contact and got in the car.

"Wow, Dylin. You look amazing." His jaw drops. I smirk. It felt good to be appreciated.

"Thank you." I smiled. We got to the school. He shut off the car and looked at me.

"Shall we?" He smirks.

"We shall." I giggle. It felt nice to be around him again. I've missed him so much. We got inside where everyone was dancing and having fun as if nothing was wrong. Kammie found me. "I want you to meet my date." She pulls Devon in front of her. I laughed.

"You guys? Really?" I smiled.

"Well yeah. She's cool." Devon smiles at her. I didn't see Mitch anywhere. Not that I was worried cause I most certainly was not. Okay maybe I was. I found Noah dancing with some girl. So didn't care. He caught me staring and walked over to me.

"Dylin I'd like you to meet my date Lily." She had half black half blue hair.

"Hi."We both said at the same time.

Rina avoided me for a good 15 minutes. Before I went up to her.

"Is something wrong?" She shakes her head. This girl with short black hair walks up to her and asks if she wants a drink.

"Oh I see." I started to walk away.

"You're not the only one going through shit Dylin. Some of us can have fun too." She says. I turned to say something when Kellin grabbed me.

"Calm down. We're all upset. We're all saying things we don't mean." I pull aways and walk to the bathroom. Kammie follows.

"Dylin wait."

"I can't fucking take this anymore. They all blame me. I never asked for any of this." I sob.

"I don't blame you baby. Come on now your make up is running." She wipes my face.

"I'm just trying really hard not to break. No one likes people who are weak."

"Just because you break doesn't make you weak. It makes you human. It's okay to fall down. Even if you can't back up." She smiles.

"Thank you." I sniffle. We leave the bathroom and rejoin the dance. Devon asks Kammie to dance. It was nice seeing everyone happy. Even if it was pretend. We were having fun.

The lights went out, there were a couple screams. I couldn't move from my chair too afraid something would happen.

I tried to keep calm. The principal climbed on stage.

"Lady's and gentlemen do not panic. We are sending someone to activate the generator. Find a partner and stick together. Thank you."

I heard Kammie yell my name. Before she stumbled over to me with Devon in hand.

"Are you alright." She pats my head.

"Yes. The light just went out that's all." The lights came back on like 20 minutes later. I got a text from Mitch.

'I need you to meet me at our spot. It's an emergency.'

"Guys Mitch needs me. I have to go."

"They're not letting anyone out." Devon says.

"I need you to distract them please."

"I'm coming with you Kammie stands up."

"No you're not."

"Yes I am Dylin we refuse to let you go alone."

"Fine." I grab my phone. Devon walks up to the teacher guarding the exit. Asks her about te home work. Giving us enough to time to sneak passed and out the door.

We get in Kammie's car. I explain to her where he is.

When we got there his truck was no where insight. So I called him. Kammie heard his phone ringing, we followed the sound.

We found him chained to a tree at the top of the hill. I started running as fast as I could. When I got to him he was unconscious.

"Mitch. Mitch can you hear me?" I shook him.

"God please no. Please." I was crying hysterically. His shirt soaked in blood from the blow he took to his head. Kammie walked up to me slowly.

"Is... is he.." She began to cry.

"I can't find a pulse." I panic. My phone started ringing.

"What do you want?!" I yell sobbing.

"Hello Dylin."
