~ Chapter Thirty Nine ~
Kelly's POV
"Have you got everything?" I asked Georgia as I did up her shoe laces.
"Yes mum." She said with a smile on her face.
Today is the day that we finally return to Melbourne, this new life will become a memory and our life in Melbourne will be resumed, except something is different this time, last time we were on Aussie soil Georgia had cancer, she was 5, Tyler was 7 and Luke and I were just boyfriend and girlfriend, but now Tyler is 9, Georgia is 7, there isn't any cancer in our family and Luke and I are engaged.
So much has changed but things aren't that different, we are just the same family that has overcome some hurdles and is now healthy and happy again.
Tyler hasn't stopped smiling since I told him we were going home, he misses Nessie so much, he hasn't shut up about her, he also can't wait to see his uncles and grandma.
Georgia can't wait to be back in her old bedroom and Luke and I just can't wait for everything to fall back into its original place, just how it was 2 years ago.
I looked around Georgia's room and noticed how big it was when it was empty, then I went into Tyler's room and thought the same thing, in fact I thought that about every room, it's funny how when everything was here I'd complain that there was no room and now I'm saying its huge.
Before we finally leave London I need to say goodbye to Lauren, after all she has been so helpful with everything and she has been such a great friend to me, I'm definitely going to miss her.
I climbed into my car and drove the couple of blocks to the natural medicine store, I parked my car and went inside, she was standing behind the counter reading a magazine.
I approached her and told her I was leaving today, then I thanked her for everything she had done for me, gave her a hug then left.
Once I got home we needed to be leaving for the airport, so we all got into the car and drove to the airport with our carry on luggage rattling around in the back of the car.
Once we reached the airport i returned my rental car and paid the cost for 2 years rent for it, then we picked up our bags off the pavement and went inside, through security check and into our terminal.
We all sat in a circle on the ground in the corner of the room, the kids smiling, and Luke looking at them with loving eyes, he grabbed hold of my hand and looked at me, bringing my hand up to his lips and kissing the soft skin.
I smiled at him and then returned to looking at our kids.
A few hours later the speakers called for our flight to start boarding so we boarded and buckled up ready for the long journey back to Melbourne.
Once the plane started ascending into the air I closed my eyes and felt like I was dreaming, I opened them when the speakers said we could take off our seat belts, i could feel Luke's deep brown eyes boring into my skin, I turned to him and saw him laughing at me, I smacked his arm and poked my tongue out at him.
"What's so funny?" I asked.
"Your thought are pretty loud." He said.
I looked at him confused and he said "I feel like this is a dream." Obviously imitating me.
"Asshole." I muttered.
He laughed again and then i yawned, he lifted his arm rest and pulled me into his chest, he stroked my hair as he whispered "When you wake up we'll be home." I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep almost instantaneously.
