What do we do now [Part 14]

Max's POV

"so Ross you're immortal huh when were you gonna tell me" I said jokingly. Ross stared at me from the couch. "Max my memories have been erased through the years I don't even know how many years I've lived" Ross said. He sounded scared as if his memories would all coma back at once. I had to admit that not knowing how long you've lived are even the experiences you've had were taken away from you was terrifying. "Ross I swear it will get better but now I think you could use some training in case Abbadon comes back" I said.

"Okay Max let's just go in the backyard. I know some kind of illusion Magic to make sure no one see us training" Ross said. He was learning something new everyday. I guess some memories are resurfacing making him know new magic. "Ross I've been meaning to ask you" I said. Ross grunted waiting for my question. "How do you know all this new magic without even finding a node" I asked. Ross stood in the backyard motionless thinking. 

His face seemed so lost in thought I actually was starting to think he was searching through years worth of memories. "To be honest Mex I don't know the magic just kinda comes to me" Ross said. I shrugged deciding it's better not to ask Ross about this. All of this would usually put someone in a mental hospital but I had a feeling Ross had been through this before. In fact it might have been Ross' idea to take away his memories in the first place. I was so lost in thought I didn't hear Ross calling my name.

"Max are we going to train or not" Ross said. I broke from my trance and nodded my head. Ross stood guard then rushed me with an ice sword in his hand. Typical Ross to go with Ice. Luckily I knew this move well so I jumped in the air using wind to give me more height. I twisted mid air and shot a fireball at Ross. Ross dodged the fireball and I felt thorns at my legs giving me cuts. When I looked down I saw thorns wrapping around my legs keeping me from going anywhere. 

"Dammit Ross" I said. Ross laughed at me but his happiness disappeared as soon as it came. I used my fire to burn away the thorns. When I landed on the floor I burned away the grass leaving the scorched earth. I stood up and smiled at Ross, I opened my hand and scythe wreathed in flames came out of nowhere. "You really like fire don't you Maxxy" Ross said. I shrugged "Hey it matches me HOT." Ross laughed at me and from the earth shot out two clean blades. Ross grabbed them and twirled them in his hands. 

We were about to fight when A column of green flame appeared in front of us. I prepared myself to attack but Adam came out of it. He looked scared as if he just escaped from being killed. Adam fell to the floor and only then did I notice he was in his demon form. I stared at Ross who nodded his head and he ran inside while I went to check on Adam. "Max...office...crazy...magic....need help..now" Adam panted. I used my calming magic to make sure he was breathing stably and I lead him inside the house. 

He crashed on the couch and Ross appeared with a glass of water. Adam took gratefully and gulped it down quickly. When he finished he was still panting. Ross sat next to him and patted his back to calm him down. "Adam me and Max need to hear what happened but slowly okay" Ross said. Adam nodded his head and took a deep breath. 

"I went to the offices this morning and something felt wrong. I decided not to worry about it cause it didn't seem like that big of a deal. Throughout the day everyone kept getting angry and starting and stopping fights. Finally Tim punched Ethan in the face and a huge fight throughout the offices started. I tried to stop everyone but no one would listen to me. Out of nowhere a bolt of lighting came and hit everyone. They all fell to the ground and I was the on left standing. I heard a familiar laugh and Abbadon came out of the lightning. he told me that he was looking for Ross and that he would use everyone in the office to get to you. He tried to get to me but he couldn't he yelled something about a magi and an exorcism. He tried to kill me and that's when I came here" Adam said. 

Me and Ross looked at each other horrified at what happened. While telling his story Adam was crying and me and Ross tried to comfort him. We heard a phone ring in the house and we all jumped. Ross went to pick it up and put in on speaker. "Hello" Ross said.

~Phone call~

??? Hey Ross this is Tim where are you.

Ross looked at me surprised but I shook my head.

Ross- "Why do you want to know Tim"

Tim- "oh I just wanted to apologize for being rude to you and Max" 

Ross-"Oh then I think you should apologize to me and Max at the same time" We heard a curse in the background.

Tim-"Are you sure Ross I don't think Max wants to see me" 

Ross-"It would be no trouble at all Tim he wants to hear what you have to say too" 

Tim-"Ross just please come alone I just want to talk to you" 

Ross- "I would rather die Abbadon. Besides if you try to sift through Tim's memories for our address the only person who actually knows where we live is Adam and you can't get to him remember" 

Tim- "Fine you know what I have a deal for you. You meet me anywhere and everywhere cause I know as soon as you leave that enchanted house of yours. I'll find you. Now on to the deal you come to me and let me kill you got it then I won't kill everyone you love okay. you have as much time as you need cause I'm generous now make the decision and call me later with this 'Tim' okay goodbye Elysium"

The phone hung up and we all stared at it in emotionless silence. "So what do we do now" Adam said. I looked at Ross who was on the verge of tears. I gave him a hug and kissed him on the forehead. "We get back up that's what we do. And I know just the people" I said.
