Reinforcements [Part 15]

Ross' POV

Max said he knew someone who could help us and I have no reason to not trust him. So the genius that I am decided to let Max do what he wanted to do. "Max A thought occurred" I said. Max was texting someone on his phone and he looked up at me while turning his phone off. "Yeah Ross what is it" Max said. Adam was in our kitchen getting something to eat and he walked back in with a sandwich. "Well when did you have time to enchant our house t make sure Abbadon could't find us" I asked. Max smiled at me and stood up stretching.

"Well Ross when we first moved in here I made sure nothing otherworldly couldn't get to us so I enchanted it when you went to the store" Max said. I stared at him dumbfounded. "Well then why didn't you tell me" I asked. Max's smile went away and he gave me hug making sure I couldn't leave his embrace. "I didn't want to worry you Ross you mean so much to me and I couldn't bear it if you went insane or got scared" Max said. I started to cry a little bit. Max was sentimental sometimes but never this caring. Well he is my boyfriend so I guess it doesn't matter if he's like this or not.

Me and Max were still hugging each other when we heard Adam clear his throat. "Well uh guys if you leave the house Abbadon is going to find you. Besides we need that person Max was talking about" Adam said. Shit he's right I thought. If we leave the house Abbadon might go back on his word and take me and kill me anyways. I heard Max laugh and I looked up at him he had a light in his eyes that kind of scared me.

"Don't worry about it Adam I got that covered. The person I called enchanted their house to make sure we would be safe."Max said. Wow he really thought this through I thought. "Okay so when do we leave" I asked. Max smiled again the light in his eyes. "We leave now" Max said. Next thing I know Max grabs me and Adam and we teleport. When we got there I fell on the ground feeling like I was going to puke. "Max....where...are...we" I panted. 

My question was answered when I person fast as lightning pushed Me, Adam, and Max against a wall. The person bound our hands with Ice and we stuck against the wall. "dammit what is it with people and Ice" Max grunted. The person had a hood on so we couldn't see his/her face. The hooded person pulled out a a knife out of a shadow and held it to Max's throat. "How do I know you're Max and not a demon in disguise" The person said. The voice sounded like a girl's and strangely familiar. 

"Mithross is real stupid" Max said. The person dropped their knife and squealed. Their hood dropped and me and Adam gasped. The person who froze us against the wall was Jess. "Jess what the hell" I yelled. She looked at me and nervously  rubbed her neck. "Sorry I know Max is Max now so how can I tell you guys are really who you are" Jess said serious once more. Me and Adam looked at each other and nodded. 

"Jess in third grade you gave Me and Ross matching pink friendship bracelets" Adam said. Jess looked at both of us curiously and seem satisfied with our answer. She snapped her fingers and the ice keeping us to the wall disappeared. "Sorry guys stuff has been strange lately and based on what Max texted me I needed to make sure you guys weren't one of Abbadon's servants" Jess said. I was still in shock that Jess was like Me, Adam, and Max. Having powers that no one can understand and having to deal with it their entire lives. 

"So why are you guys here if I may ask" Jess said. We all looked at Max who stared back in surprise. "why are you guys looking a me....oh wait never mind" Max said. We all sighed and I laughed a little at Max. "Okay Jess I told you what Abbadon was planning so I need stuff on that also there's on more thing" Max said. "Me and Ross are immortal Ross being the Elysium and me being the Magi" Max said. Jess gasped and looked at Max and Me in shock.

"You guys stay here now I'm gonna get something that may help" Jess said. She rushed out of the room and we sat on her couch and waited for her to come back. She came back five minutes later with book piled in her hands and a tea set floating behind her. I stared at the floating tea set and remembered on of max's rules with our magic. Don't use it for recreational use just to make life easier. I knew if I said anything Max and Jess would start to fight about Max's rules so I didn't say anything. 

She set everything down on the table and sighed collapsing on a small couch of her own. "Okay guys these books are old and I mean old. My family has had these powers passed down through generations and my family has kept books on this stuff protecting the knowledge throughout the years" Jess said. I stared at the old books on the table and then at the tea set really fast. "Okay what does this have to do with the situation at hand" Adam said. Max sighed and was about to say something but Jess held out her hand for him to shut up. 

"Adam you're a demi-demon right. Don't ask how I know I could just sense it. Now these books have everything to do an Demi-demons, Abbadon, the magi, and most importantly the Elysium. Ross has been alive for hundreds of years and he locked his memories away deep inside him. That's why I brewed this special tea for him." Jess said. She poured the tea into a small cup and handed it to me. "Ross this tea will bring back all the memories you locked away. You don't have to drink it. Those memories you locked away for a reason. If you don't want to got through all the pain of those years you don't have to. But there is knowledge that not even I know that could help us if you drink the tea. It your choice Ross" Jess said.

I stared at the cup in front of me and debated my decision. What if I saw something I didn't like. But in these memories is powerful magic that could save everyone. I brought the cup to my lips and drank the sweet tea. I gulped it all down and stared at everyone. "What was supposed to happen gu-" I said. Immense pain hit me and I feel to the ground. Max ran to me but Jess looked at me sadly like she knew this was going to happen. Memories flashed before my eyes.

People I've met. Wars I've fought. The magic I've learned and used. Abbadon was there causing these problems over and over again. The people who have stayed by my side. And the Magi ever changing never the same person. And worst of all the people I've loved lost forever in the fights I've had. The guys and girls that I loved and wanted to stay with always died to save me. The memories went away and the pain subsided but all that was left were tears. Centuries worth of sadness hit me and tears flowed from my eyes like a river. Max was next to and I looked up at him. 

I couldn't lose him like the others I had lost before him. I grabbed him and held him close and kissed him deeply. I heard Jess squeal but I ignored it and wanted to stay with Max. We broke apart and Max smiled at me wiping away my tears. I stood up slowly and my sadness was quickly replaced with determination to get rid of Abbadon. "Guys let's get rid of Abbadon for good this time" I said. 

They all smiled at me and I saw a quick memory flash before my eyes. The time I first fought Abbadon which was about 600 years ago. I had a small band of friends just like this. And we fought Abbadon and won but there was always a cost. That cost was always the Magi's life but this time I was determined not to lose the Magi. "So guys some useful stuff came from my past and I think I should teach it to you" I said. 

"Let's do it" We all said at the same time.
