Let the Game begin [Part 20]

Max's POV

Before the fireballs could hit any of us I jumped in front. I held out my hands "Mirror Force" I said. A force field appeared and sent the fire back to Abbadon. He quickly swatted them away but he didn't notice Adam leave the group because Jess was running at Abbadon with incredible speed. She jumped higher than most people could and pulled out two katanas. "Steel Slash" She said the katanas gleamed and slashed through Abbadon creating two deep. 

He yelled outraged and sent another volley of Fire at us but Ross swatted them away with his two swords. Ross and Abbadon seemed to have auras of power around them I stood there in awe staring at the massive amount of power coming off them. Jess snapped me out of it though with a swift slap on the back. "Max stare later fight now" She said. I nodded my head and ran to Abbadon. I turned to see what Jess was doing but she seemed to melt into shadows and quickly advanced to Abbadon. 

I ran to Abbadon he was distracted with Ross so he didn't see me. "Light volley" I yelled. Thousands of small lights came out of nowhere and shot at Abbadon. HE turned and his dark eyes widened. He moved to dodge them but Jess came out of the shadows and summoned a wall. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Adam destroying the chains that held everyone. Abbadon didn't seem to notice Adam since he was getting hit with my light. 

"Dark wind" He said. The light I had summoned disappeared and the dark wind hit me in the chest. I fell to the floor and Ross yelled in outrage. 

Ross' POV

Max landed on his back and I saw a bit of blood trickle our of his mouth. I yelled and rushed Abbadon. I moved with such speed Abbadon didn't even seem to see me. I slashed and hacked at his flesh while Abbadon tried to defend himself. "Gravity Force" I yelled. I had dropped my swords and punched Abbadon straight in the chest. Abbadon flew several feet backwards and landed with a satisfying thump. 

I turned to look at Max but Jess was there healing him. Knowing that I could could trust Max with Jess Abbadon got my full force of anger. (And me being at full power angry is something you don't want). Abbadon was getting up and I ran to him. "Ice hammer" I said. I giant war hammer of Ice appeared and I slammed it against Abbadon. He flew back but landed on his feet this time. "You've gotten better since I've last fought you Elysium" Abbadon said. 

"I don't have time for talk Abbadon" I said. I transformed my hammer into a massive scythe and slashed at Abbadon. He deflected it with his hands but he already made me angry so I wasn't holding back. I slashed and slashed and Abbadon kept blocking it. "You know Abbadon something is different about this fight" I said. Abbadon jumped back and summoned a massive fiery sword. He slashed at me but I blocked it with my scythe. "And what would that be little Ross" Abbadon said. Well that's the first time he acknowledged me by my own name I thought. 

I felt a presence behind me but I wasn't threatened in fact it made me happier knowing the presence was behind me. "My friends know how to fight together" Back then my team knew how to fight , but they didn't know how to use each other to make each other stronger I said. Abbadon looked confused but I smiled and jumped straight up. Jess and Max were behind me smiling. "Magic ring" Jess said. A circle of pure magical energy appeared and in the middle a small opening was there. "Wind Shuriken" Max said. In his hand shuriken made out of air appeared and he threw them through the ring. As the passed through the ring the shuriken gained different Magical powers and they flew straight to Abbadon. 

Abbadon summoned a wall of fire but I doused it with an icy wind. Thousands of Shruiken flew to Abbadon and hit him all over his demonic body. The shuriken kept coming and coming until Abbadon slashed with his sword and all the shuriken fell to the ground. I noticed that Adam had freed everyone and was leading them to the portal I had left open. Abbadon noticed this and shot a wave of fire to them but Adam turned and in the air burned an Anti-Demonic symbol in the air. 

When the flames hit the symbol the instantly disappeared. "NO" Abbadon roared. I felt the energy in the air shift and my eyes Widened. "Adam get everyone in the portal right now" I yelled. Adam nodded and opened his demonic wings and with a quick gust blew everyone through the portal. "Adam go through the portal and protect everyone there" I said. Adam nodded his head and went through the portal. 

Abbadon was furious that everyone had escaped his grasp and he still hand't killed any of us. "That's it Elysium I'm doing playing games with you" Abbadon said. "Good because I was just warming up old friend" I said. That took Abbadon by surprise and I took that moment to strike. "Heavenly Fire" I said. Golden fire exploded from my hands and hit Abbadon with full force. Abbadon yelled in Agony and kneeled down to recover. Jess wouldn't give him the chance though because she sprinted to Abbadon with a katana in her hand. 

Abbadon quickly stood up and slashed at Jess with a blade he had gotten. Jess cried out in pain and landed next to us a clean cut on her chest. "Jess" Max yelled. I grabbed his shoulder holding him back and focused. I lifted Jess with wind and shot her to the portal at least she would be safe with Adam I thought. Max and Me were the only ones left with Abbadon so we decided to give him everything we had. 

3rd Person POV

The two fought like a team that had practiced with each other for centuries. The fought with Abbadon and hit him with everything they had. Abbadon however had an upper hand. Max and Ross were exhausted from fighting for so long. Abbadon calmly had regained his energy in his own plane of hell. "You two are going to have to try a lot harder if you want to kill me" Abbadon said. He teleported next to Ross and quickly slashed at his legs. Ross cried out in pain and Max knelt to examine Ross' wounds. Abbadon laughed and Max stood furious. 

"Divine Chains" Max said. Chains made out of light wrapped around Abbadon and held him there while Abbadon tried to escape his bonds. Max looked at Ross who stared back at him sadness in his eyes. "Max don't do this" Ross said. Max looked at Ross sadly and held his head. "Ross you know I have to give my life in order to save you and everyone that is always how the Magi dies Ross" Max said. "You don't know anything Max you weren't there when I kept fighting Abbadon and what happened to my friends and the Magic" Ross cried. He was right Max knew nothing about Ross' Past but Max knew that his life would keep Abbadon trapped here until Ross fought him again.

The fight between Abbadon and Ross was one that was a cycle. The magi would sacrifice his life and keep Abbadon trapped. Abbadon would break free though but the Elysium always stopped him in time. However the Magi would give his life and keep Abbadon trapped thus the cycle would restart. Max somehow knew this was supposed to happen but Ross knew as well. If Ross knew this then why would he try to stop Max. 

"MAX STOP PLEASE DON'T DO THIS" Ross yelled. Abbadon was breaking his chains but Max stood there ready to bind him like the other Magi before him. Ross stood up slowly and hobbled to Max. Max tried to push Ross away but Ross grabbed Max's wrist. Ross looked at Max with tear filled eyes and slapped Max on the face. "OW why did you do that" Max said. Ross kissed Max on the lips but quickly pulled apart. 

"You idiot there is another way but the Magi would always stop me" Ross said. Max looked confused but he trusted Ross, He looked at Ross and immediately knew what to do. Ross ans Max stood side by side and held each other's hands. The put there held hands out and a small orb of light appeared in front of their joined hands. The closed there eyes and recited a chant.

"We the Magi and the Elysium give up what makes us immortal for a sacrifice for higher power" The said together. Abbadon looked at both of them terrified. "Stop this isn't how this works you aren't supposed to do this" Abbadon said.

"We request that the powers of heaven strike down Abbadon the demon of the Abyss and cast his out of existence forever" Max and Ross said. Abbadon broke out of his chains and was shooting fire at the two but the fire disintegrated before it could hit them.

"We call down the wrath of heaven" The two said. The opened there eyes and anger burned within them. Abbadon stared horrified at what the two had done and yelled out in terror. 

"GOD'S HAND" They yelled

A light burst forth from the ceiling and hit Abbadon with full force. Abbadon yelled in pain and outrage but he slowly burned away. Max and Ross fell to the ground still holding each other's hands and darkness took them and the hell plane there were in crashed around them.
