Hullo my handful of readers! I love you a lot n I'm glad you're enjoying this lil book. I wanted to say that there's a part here in italics. That indicates a flashback. Thank you for reading c:

"Um- i- well i um-" i couldn't get out a proper sentence. My brain turned to mush out of utter confusion. He stood there finishing my hot chocolate. "It's quite pretty. Is the deity in there as pretty as the stone?" I choked on my own spit. "How-" i sputtered before being interrupted.

"I know some things. One, that gem glows, so that means it isn't normal. Two, you keep touching it and fiddling with it. And three, you're Delilah Abbadon."

He smiled. I was truly creeped out. He turned back around to the beeping machine. I stood and slowly made my way to the door. My hand was on the knob when his gaze met mine. He squinted and dropped the drinks. I let out a squeak and threw the nearest book at him. He groaned and i sprinted out the door, slamming it closed.

I bolted down the hall to the elevator started frantically clicking its button.
Come on.. Come on.. Please..

As the elevator's door started to shut I sighed in contentment, but right before it closed a hand shot out. I cursed out and crushed the hand with my shoe. I reached out to the button once more as the hand retracted with a loud whine then growl. Fuck.

I pondered on how I'd get out of this while twirling the stone. A thought popped up. Maybe if I play the innocent card, I could get out. The door shut as it started moving to return me to the first floor which I came from.

With a ding it let me know we arrived. I braced myself for the worst and when the doors opened, all i saw was the mass of bodies on the dance floor and loud pounding music. He probably took the stairs. I rushed past people, pushing them over. I gripped the front door's handle and bursted out of the building. I ignored the judging stares of the unknowing people behind me and started running.

I looked around and noticed the sky.  I realized the day turning to night as the bright blue sky was slowly changing into a purple-pink sunset. I would have sat there and watched it with Yves like I do almost every nigh. Why did I go out tonight? I grumbled to myself in anger.

I started walking quickly to the direction of my home, i stopped running since i was close and it would've made me look quite suspicious. I saw the forest nearing and decided to head in and distract whatever what was following me.It sounded better than leading it right to my home. I hoped i made the right choice. While walking into the forest i yanked the gem from my neck.

I fumbled with it and held it in my hand. Thank lucifer I brought you with me today. I smiled as I gripped the small white ore in my hand tighter. Sometimes, being a human being chased by demons up the aśs has made me stumble into the forest one too many times. After probably near the hundredth time in the forest I stopped by a patch of dirt to catch my breath and noticed something white poking from it.

Running. Is all I can think about right now, get to a safe place. Hide. That's all I've done as of lately. I halted by a patch of black dirt by a quite large aging tree. I put my hands on my knees while closing my eyes to catch my breath. And when I reopened my eyes, I noticed a white spot in the dirt. It was glimmering when the sun hit it. Naturally, I grabbed it and dusted it off. It was something so beautiful. A white stone that was covered in dirt and dust. I'm sure if I cleaned it up, it'll be a beautiful bright white. I held it tightly in my palm and whispered 'I'll take care of you, I promise' as the words left my mouth, the stone began to heat up.

I gasped at the sudden heat, it wasn't bad enough to hurt me, just enough to frighten me. And just like that, it flipped out of my hand with a poof and out came a cat. "What the fuck?" I spoke aloud. I clasped my hands over my mouth forgetting that I was being chased. "What the fuck?" I whispered to myself as the cat sat down in front of me licking its paw. It was a pure white cat, with large ears, and when I say large, I mean devilish large. It's eyes were two different colors and had little sharp teeth. It's tail was a puffball and yet it's paws were small and dainty.

And for the second time in my life I wondered if I was going crazy. ''You're not crazy my love." I heard someone in my head speaking. Out of all the things that have happened recently, this wasn't the most odd, surprisingly.

And that's when I met Yves. My protector, my guardian, my best friend, and my cat.

He's such an asshole sometimes though. I thought staring at the little being. "Della dear you do know when you summon me I can hear your thoughts? Or is your brain really that small?" he sticks his little cat tongue out at me and meows innocently. He has no need for opening his mouth for anything other than hissing at me if I feed him, meowing at me if I don't cuddle him, or biting me if I don't pet him. sometimes I swear he's more far more like a regular cat than a 'mystical being'.

"We have bigger things to worry about Yves, I'll deal with your sorry little kitty butt later, but for now, we're being chased. You saw that right?" I spoke to him while reaching my arm out to him so he could jump onto my shoulders. We continued walking further and further into the woods until we could eventually find our way out. We know these woods like the back of our hand.

"Yeah, it was kind of weird though. I've never felt such an aura. I would've told you but he didn't really seem like a threat in the moment. I couldn't figure out what he was and i know practically every demon in the ether! I read all the files while I'm sitting in that little crystal. But yes, his power was radiating in waves. When you were dancing with him, he seemed like a normal human. But once you stepped in the office it changed. I suppose you didn't notice" he rolled his eyes and I smiled sheepishly. "He was nice. I thought he was something else" i murmured.

He huffed. "That's not my point dear. Anyways, do you have a plan? Remember the last time someone tried to seduce you? That wasn't pretty. You need to be more careful" he scolded while hitting my head with his paw. "Now tell me, what is your plan" He questioned impatiently. "Well i-"

I hear a soft crunch of leaves in the distance. Yves ears shoot up and his head darts in the direction. the crunch was the lightest of noises, but when Yves is summoned, every sense is heightened. Yves is the other half of me. He's my angel made for me and I'm the human created for him. We complete one another. I stopped moving and grabbed Yves off my shoulders and into my arms. Slowly, so slowly so he wouldn't loose concentration on where the sound is coming from. I softly turn my back to the noise and have Yves head over looking my shoulder.

What now Della? Your command this time. His every word is strained as his little fangs grow sharper preparing to protect me.
You are to only arise with my command. Use your cloaking to mask your scent and appearance to the intruder. I want to try playing the innocent card this time.

He knew exactly what I meant by innocent card. He jumped gracefully from my hands and onto the floor. And the noises slowly sounded further away. He looks up to me waiting for a signal, and I nod. He kicks me onto the tree with the force of a horse and I fall down onto the leaves with a little thud noise. I look up and see he's transformed and hidden into the branches. Yves do you ever wonder how much this hurts when you don't use the protection spell?

Would you like to try my dear? He snickered in my head. I rolled my eyes at him and before I could do anything more, we heard a soft growl quite close by.

Show time Yves chimes softly.
