What Would Happen?

Part 11:Survive

There he was, Mr. I'manassnamedAdiannonStale. Next to him stood the machine that Anna had built by accident. There were also two people who I deeply cared about who were both in horrific positions. One breathing and bawling and the other pale and cold and dead. And There the five of us stood not knowing what to feel, think, say, and react. I was sweating, my insides were slowly breaking, I was losing all sanity. I frantically looked around, but for what?  I slowly gained the courage to walk again and I had somehow spotted a PROJECT BL'S DVR bottle that contained the virus. I was now so familiar; with everything. I ran and grabbed the bottle.

"Explain, you shitbag..." I quietly mumbled. "WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH!?" My voice cracked. "Why is the machine here?! Are you planning to use Leyna as the sacrifice? If so, you've got a shit ton of karma heading your way!" I cried as tears of anger slid down my face. "What did you do to Amber, Adiannon?! I swear I'm gonna fricking kill you!!" I threw the bottle at him which he quickly dodged and broke with a slight movement of his hand. Ethan had quickly ran over and held me back.

"Marissa, get back to the right state of mind!" Veronica pleaded.

"ETHAN, PLEASE LET ME GO!" I screamed till my throat felt like bleeding.

"No way in hell! You're just going to try to destroy his guts but what good is it going to do?! We can't help you because we don't know the slightest thing about him!" Ethan gripped onto me tighter.

"He's right." Adiannon scoffed. "You don't know the slightest thing about me, Marissa."

"Shut up! Please just...shut up." My voice died.

"You guys can keep the corpse for a funeral or whatever. It's unneeded. As for the other one, I'm using her."

"She is not just an 'it' or a corpse, you dipshit! She's Amber Le, our dear friend, who you brutally MURDERED!" Barry broke out. His face was red with anger and his eyes were watery.

Veronica slowly kneeled down at the sight of Amber's pale body and Leyna continuously sobbed mouthing her name. Ethan gradually let go of my arms glanced at her pale hand.

Ashton turned into a medium sized dragon and used his tail to gently place her on his green, scaly back. Barry then created a ring of lightning bolts around her to keep the rest of safe.

"Adiannon, don't do it." I protested against his actions.

"Too late." He sang as he pointed to the bottom left corner of the machine.

I quickly ran over to Leyna. I broke three of the chains left until Adiannon put me into a choke hold. I tried to resist but I just couldn't get out. Veronica turned into a snake and as much as she hated it, she slithered up onto his neck and bit him. He didn't let go of me until he got bit because he was aware that I would probably freeze him to death in an ice block. He only asked for a painful death.

Barry quickly got Leyna out of the chains and she slowly slid down the wall covering her mouth and quietly crying. We all did. We were free but Amber wasn't. She was dead, gone, as I predicted.

"We can't ever get her back." Veronica swallowed hard.

"Am..ber..... Amber..." Ashton mumbled. "It's not fair.."

"Since when was the world fair..? We weren't even allowed to say 'sorry' or 'thank you' to her... Did you EVER think the world was FAIR?!" Barry screamed.

"Seriously..." Ethan murmured.

"I...can bring her back." I quietly cried.

"What... Please do it. Please Marissa." Leyna begged.

"What are you saying? Do you want to be sacrificed?!" Veronica shrieked. Ethan quickly looked at me in anger.

"You only need a specific amount of blood. I'll be providing that portion." I quietly said.

"Are you crazy? Do you have any idea how much blood you've already lost?! Just let me be the sacrifice!" Ethan insisted.

"Okay, but this will destroy one of the worlds." I informed.

"Then it's worth risking. I don't know what on earth your talking about but if the world has to despise me, or the world must be obliterated into oblivion for me to save a friend, then I'd allow it." Veronica confidently said.

"Fine." I opened the bottle of the virus and cut Ethan's palm. The machine had slowly started to suck in wind and there it was, the portal to the parallel universe. I reached in and pulled out a girl, who was kind, strong, smart, and funny.

"Oh my god.."Leyna whispered.

"Amber this is a universe parallel to yours. You may not know who we are because over in your world, you never met us and we never met you. But here, you were our best friend." I continued to explain the situation to her, to the girl who's eyes were so cold. Everyone was in awe, especially other Amber.

She gently smiled and replied to my request: "Can you please sacrifice only your soul to our Amber. I know this is cruel but you along with the rest of one of our worlds will be destroyed in the process." She said, "Of course. No one cares about me over there. I'm pretty muck like a stray cat wandering around the streets over there. If it helps others then I'd be happy to do it."

I teared up. "Please allow me to create a vortex in your chest to begin the process."

She stretched out her arms and said "I'm all yours."

And in a blink it all happened. My eyes were widened about the fact that our universe was the one to survive. That our dear Amber was heavily breathing.

I looked to my left and saw the destroyed machine which had helped us save the world. And I looked over at Amber who was unconvinced that she was breathing, unconvinced that she was crying, but grateful that we were there to help her be in her current state. There the lot of us stood crying tears of joy. And on the other side of the room lay a corpse that was once our enemy.
