We soon left the shopping center but had no idea where to start. We were also in no position to fight either. Yeah, sure we're well rested and everything but our clothes are ripped and tattered, we're teens stranded in an area filled with dead people, and we have no shelter to get behind in case of another attack. Oh, and here's another thing, we're surviving off of the the items we have in our school bags and stealing useful items along the way. We don't even have a god damn clue about what our opponents are scheming.

"Sigh." I said. I looked up at the gray sky filled with smoke.

"Marissa, you feeling okay? That's, like, the fourth time you said the word 'sigh' today." Leyna asked.

"I'm healthy and still kicking, aren't I? It's just...Never mind." I replied.

Leyna and everyone else gave me strange and worried looks. My mind was in absolute chaos. I kept remembering that horrid vision of screaming and being tortured in that dark chamber. I just kept thinking 'Is this some kind of prophecy? Is this a glance in the future?' I asked myself these questions over and over. Continuously questioning and continuously stressing out.

I took a deep breath and let myself calm down. I figured that I could find out what this meant when the time comes so I looked forward, searching for a clue about our enemy. Once again, all I saw was corpses and bits of the "growing accessory" on the ground. There was a fire in my chest just telling me that I should feel sorry for these people. Because I was too slow to help them. That I should regret I was so weak. And I do. I truly, truly do. If I knew, I would've saved them. Everyone, every single one.

After our endless march, we finally came to a stop. Or at least, Veronica did.

"Guys, guys, guys" Veronica repeated. "What on Earth does that symbol stand for?" She asked in horror as she pointed towards the gray plane a few hundred meters away from us.

"Well. I dun'no. Maybe the symbol of the enemy that's trying to kill us. Oh, would ya look at that. I found bombs with labels on them that freakin' say 'PROJECT BL'S DVR' inside the plane tank."Barry said sarcastically, neglecting Veronica's serious tone.

"Okay..? But what does BL'S DVR stand for?" Amber asked in a monotonous voice.

"Like we'd know, smart one." Ashton replied. Ugh. He's just disgusting.

"What." Amber snapped.

The first thing that popped into my head was the tune "MOVE, BI***. GET OUT THE WAY." It's amazing how the human race can goof off in such serious situations. But it's good seeing this. We're all acting as we normally do. I'm still yearning for my anime and sketch books, and Ashton's still as rude as ever.

"Hey, Satan's daughter." Ashton called out. Of course, I wouldn't answer to Ashton's impolite beckoning.

"Urghh. Marissa, walk up to the plane to find out more about the evil dudes." Ashton rephrased.

"Why me, exactly?" I asked in disgust.

"Well you are Satan's daughter, after all. You're a demon and we all know demons can regenerate quickly." Aston 'accurately' answered.

"Then, what about my ankle?" I shot back, except at Ashton. Would've preferred if it was Mr. Twisted Sadist.

"... Well, at that time, your Satanic powers were being lazy." He replied.

"Oh my god..." I mumbled.

"We should get going now...But, we do need someone to find out." Veronica stated.

I stared at her for, like, 30 seconds."Hey, Veronica." I smirked. "What if you morphed into a giraffe and took a peek inside the plane tank thing? How about it?"

"Uhh, heo to da no, sir." She responded.

"Uhh, yea. You will." I urged. I looked around to see no one objecting the idea. No shaking heads and no other suggestions. "It's decided, Veronica. Please do what you must."

Veronica sighed,"Fine." She morphed into a brilliantly tall giraffe. I gawked at the wonderful sight of the bright light from her transformation. No matter how many times I see Veronica use her ability, it never ceases to amaze me.

She walked around in circles to get used to the height of the giraffe and she finally leaned towards the plane. After about two minutes of observing, she quickly moved back and reverted into her human form.

"Hey, Veronica wh-" Ethan said before Veronica mouthed 'shut up'.

"Be quiet. The ugly dude who shot Marissa was sitting in there." Veronica whispered.

'What... Why is he in that plane? I thought he recieved orders from the one in charge! What...?' I thought to myself as I looked down at the ground in horror.

Veronica pushed us back and told us to run. I didn't move due to shock and fell down. I didn't notice until after a short while that I had been pushed back. I looked back up and felt so confused. So scared. Not because of the mentally ill dude but the bombs. What was he gonna do with them?

Ethan had finally slapped Veronica's arm outta the way and protested "What? Stay away and run?! When we have the chance to ambush him, the guy who hurt Marissa?!"

"I actually agree." Amber nodded her head with determination.

"Oh really. Well, why are you doing this are you crazy? He may have back up on hold!" Veronica said strictly.

"I'm doing it for Marissa, who else? And who cares if he has back up? I have a score to settle with him, right Marissa? Marissa?" Amber boomed.

"No..." I quietly replied.

"What?! Why not?!" Amber and Ethan screeched.

"Do you... Even know what in the hell that I actually want?! What if I don't want you to fight?! Would you care? And did I even ask you to do so? You could get killed because of those bombs! I can't afford to lose anyone! Not again..." I went from piano to forte to pianissimo.

In that moment we had all gone silent. Saying nothing to one another, we reluctantly walked east of the plane until there was a loud boom and it went all white.

"I'm ba~ck!"
