Harry's POV:

"Did it not cross your daft little mind to warn me that she was bringing a guy with her?"

As Caleb practically rushed me outside and out of the kitchen, that was my first question to him once we were out of earshot.

"You knew I planned on speaking to her about us and you conveniently left out the fact that she's still seeing this lad and that he would be here," I spit, my chest heaving up and down. "Dick," I muttered rather loudly.

Caleb held his hands up in defense and began walking towards me slowly.

"Mate, I swear to you that I didn't know she was bringing Sean here until ten minutes ago. I was just as surprised as you are," he said, gently.

Even still, he had ten minutes to call or even text me a warning so I didn't walk into an ambush. Had I known what was waiting for me beyond their front door, I would have never left my house at all. Being alone on Thanksgiving sounded much more appealing than spending the holiday with the girl I still loved and her new... whatever he was.

Caleb sighed. "I'll come up with something if you want to leave," he offered.

His offer was tempting, but these were my friends and I deserved to be here more than HE did. There was no way I would let him being here, dissuade me from spending the holiday with my friends and speaking to Cami. From what I had heard, they had only been seeing each other for a few weeks and from what I gathered myself, he definitely didn't know her like I did. Wether Cami and I were technically still together or not, I still had the advantage over Sean, because she and I had a history that wasn't easily forgotten.

I shook my head, letting Caleb know that I wasn't going anywhere. "I'm staying," I announced, crossing my arms over my chest.

A mix of relief and worry crossed Caleb's features and he let out a breath. "Under one condition," Caleb stipulated, holding up a warning finger.

I rolled my eyes, in no way caring at all about the advice he was surely about to give me. I wanted a chance to fix things with Cami and I wouldn't let some insignificant man, who she had only just met stand in the way of that.

Even still, Caleb crossed his arms over his chest and took a step forward so he was directly in front of me.

"This is mine and Charli's first Thanksgiving with the twins. Don't ruin it with your drama," he warned.

I nodded, but I made no promises.

After spending weeks contemplating what I should say when I finally saw Cami again, I wasn't willing to let it all go in sake of preserving this day. I doubted getting her in the same room alone with me was going to be easy after the way I had treated her, and Sean's presence only made that harder. I didn't care what the cost would be, I just needed to finally hear the truth from her and to share my intentions if her story matched Niall's.

"Ok," Caleb said relieved that I had agreed to his terms. "Now, let's go back in there."

I almost regretted not taking him up on his offer to get the hell out of there.

This was not only going to be very weird, but I already couldn't stand the thought of seeing Sean put his hands on Cami again. It was bad enough the first time and I only saw it for about a minute before Caleb pulled me out of there.

How was I supposed to deal with a whole evening of seeing them together?

What would I do when she smiled at him and not me?

When he touches her hand at the table?

Or worse, how would I handle it if Cami told me that after all I had done, she now wanted him and not me?
