Harry's POV:

My heart was beating a million miles per second at the sight of her.

She was actually here, standing before me in Caleb and Charli's house, the last place I would have expected her to be.

We were all still, no one knowing how to get out of this awkward situation.

If I had known she was even in town, I definitely would not have chosen today to stop by unannounced.

What was she even doing here?

The last I'd heard, she had taken my advice and moved to San Francisco, a decision I was still on the fence about for practically demanding of her.

I might have acted too hastily the last time I saw her and may have said a few things that I quickly came to regret, but I never figured she would actually listen to me. Cami was probably one of the most stubborn people that I had ever met and yet, the one time I made a suggestion out of anger, she finally decided to listen.

I often wondered what would have happened if she had actually stuck around. By now we could have at least been on speaking terms and possibly even friends. Instead, I got to find out third hand that she had left and actually moved to San Francisco.

Things had turned dark for me after that.

I knew it was my own fault for telling her to go, but shit, she had practically cheated on me with Liam and I could think of no better way to get over her than never seeing her face again.

That only lasted a little while.

I wasn't angry anymore and if asked even ten minutes ago, I would have said I was completely over it with no reservations.

Seeing her face for the first time in months had me realizing otherwise.

I was certainly not over what she had done and didn't think I would ever be able to look at her the same.

All I could see when looking at her face was Liam's right next to her, kissing her, holding her and touching the girl I used to call mine.

The disgust I felt the night I had found out, all came rushing back as I locked eyes with her. Somehow I couldn't bring myself to divert my gaze. I was still in shock that she was even really here. It had almost been easier to convince myself that she didn't even exist anymore and the possibility of seeing her ever again was completely out of the question. Yet, somehow, here she was standing before me and admittedly looking better than I had ever seen her.

She looked the same physically, but there was definitely something different about her. I used to be able to read her like a book, but there was something I couldn't quite put my finger on that had definitely changed in her demeanour.

Things were silent for at least a couple minutes, none of us able to make a move or utter a single word. The first person to make a noise was the mysterious curly haired dog, which I now figured probably belonged to Cami. He barked, clawing at the bottom of her leg, diverting even Caleb and Charli's attention towards him rather than the Cami and Harry show going on in their living room.

Cami finally made a movement, leaning down to pet the dog's head.

"I'm- uh gonna take Finn for a walk," she said nervously.

Her voice was shaky, unlike the beautiful sound I was so used to hearing.

Caleb and Charli both nodded, but stood awkwardly in place until she had led Finn back the way she'd come and presumably out the back door, which I heard open and shut moments later.
