Cami's POV:

My hands were shaky and my heart rate erratic. I had only been seated in the hospital waiting room for a couple of hours and yet, it had felt like days. The silence was deafening around me and the tension palpable. A group of people sat around for Harry, waiting and praying for him to wake up and be okay again. I felt like a stranger in his world among them all, after not being in his life for so long I practically was one. People from Bandit had been in and out steady since I had been here and I didn't fail to notice the strange look they all gave me.

I almost welcomed those looks compared to the ones I got from his mother.

Gwen was here when I arrived, seated beside Alice - who had barely given me a second look. I hadn't expected so much as a hello, but her cold stares sent chills up my spine and let me know that I was unwanted here. Gwen was somewhat more friendly after the conversation we had last night, but still only greeted me with a halfhearted smile and slight wave. I didn't let that deter me from being here, but it had certainly made things more uncomfortable for everyone.

Caleb had been the only one to properly greet Charli and I when we arrived from the airport, but had since left to check on the twins who were with Charli's mom. Without Caleb, things were even more uncomfortable between his family and me. I only ever got relief and a moment to breathe when they went in the room to see him or take a walk every once in a while. Other than that, we were all seated together in a close proximity without speaking so much as a word to each other.

I wondered if Alice and Gwen knew that we had spoken last night, or if it was while I was on the phone with him like I had been thinking. I didn't have the courage to ask anyone any questions yet and so, I sat and waited with them all, moving from my seat only twice since I had arrived.

I didn't know much about what happened other than the fact that he was in a car accident. Charli tried to fill me in on the ride over, but I couldn't hear it. I already felt a heavy guilt weighing on me, as if I was the one who had hit him myself and I wasn't ready to hear any more. Just the thought that what happened to him could have to do with me made me nearly sick. I was so consumed by the idea that this was somehow my fault that I couldn't even bring myself to go in and see him. The idea that he was lying just beyond the door in front of me, battling serious injuries and essentially fighting for his life was already too much to handle. I wasn't sure how I would handle seeing him like that and I certainly didn't need anyone worrying about me at a time like this. So, all I did was sit there and wait, praying to anyone that he would wake up and that he was okay.

"Cami," A voice said, nudging my shoulder gently.

I grunted, but didn't open my eyes from the nap I so desperately needed.

I hadn't worried about anything other than Harry since I had gotten Charli's call this morning, but now that I was finally starting to minorly pull myself together, the effects of my hangover were hitting me full force. I didn't even realize I was drifting to sleep until I opened my eyes to Caleb calling my name once again.

"Cami!" He said a little louder.

I shot up this time, so fast, my eyes didn't even have a chance to focus on my surroundings.

"Is he awake?" I asked, sitting up within seconds.

I felt a pang of excitement and relief at the thought, but Caleb's sigh told me that was only wishful thinking at this point.
