Chapter Fourteen // Fill In

-7 months later-

-Elliot's POV-

Kathy and I's divorce just got finalized. Since I moved out we've gotten along better than we did when were together.

Liv and I got a place together, a couple months after Kathy and I separated. We rotate the kids every weekend. Works been long without her since she's been on pregnancy leave, but coming home to her makes up for it. The baby is due any day now. I make sure I'm always able to hear my phone just in case Liv goes into labor.

I went home around 2, after having a few drinks with the guys since the day was so stressful. I walk in, thinking I was being as quiet as possible, but it turns out I was so loud the neighbors could hear me. Olivia turns the lights on walking down the stairs. I hit the coffee table laughing a bit and sit down. Olivia stands in the entrance of the living room.

"El? Why are you so late?"
She yawns rubbing her belly

"Went out with the guys"

She sits next to me and I put my arm around her

"Wow, go shower. It smells like you're producing alcohol"

I laugh and kiss her head, then get up and help her back to the bedroom she lays down as I go into the bathroom and shower.

As I'm in the shower I start to replay tonight's events over and over in my head.

It was dark out 'hey big guy let me get you home' , 'I think I can manage' I tripped and she caught me holding my chest and back up 'Yeah sure you can' she giggles and helps me into her car. As she helps me into the car I pulled her close to me, illuminating any space between us. We both went silent-

I punch the shower wall as I thought about it more.

-I leaned in examining her face. Then all I saw were her lips.

After the shower I got dressed and got in bed with my pregnant girlfriend. Her smell was intoxicating. I held her as close as I could, I kiss her head before I fell asleep.

-Olivia's POV-

Waking up with the man you love's arms around you, is an unbeatable feeling. I turned over to look at him. As he sleeps his face does this thing where his nose twitches then his eye brows raised. I play with his hair then snuggle into his chest while rubbing my belly as the baby kicks.

A few minutes later I get up and grab some yogurt and fruit sitting on the couch watching tv.

-Elliot's POV-

-it was a moment of weakness I never expect. I looked down after clearing my throat. Then look off not able to look at her. I get into the car and she drives me home. Once we pull up to my house I open the car door. 'Thanks for the ride' , 'anytime, see you at work' I nodded my head and headed into Olivia and I's new home. -

I woke up in an empty bed, feeling guilty after thinking about last night not able to forget about it. Even though I so badly wished I could. I got up went downstairs and smiled looking at Olivia sitting there eating looking so beautiful, so effortlessly. I kiss her cheek

"Good morning beautiful"

"Morning handsome"

I go around the couch and sitting putting my arm around her as she leaned her head into me. I put my hand on her belly rubbing it. Then get up and go to get ready for work.

-Olivia's POV-

Around lunch time I decide to go visit Elliot at work. I picked up some subs and headed overtop the precinct. I was greeted by fin

"Hey Liv wow when's that baby going to come out?"

"Any day"

"It's good to see you"

We hugged me

"I brought El some lunch where is he?"

"Upstairs need some help?"

"Fin I'm pregnant not handicapped"

He laughs "okay feisty"

I laugh as I head upstairs. Elliot is sitting there talking with a blonde as she touches his arm laughing. I couldn't help but feel hurt, I but trust Elliot so I clear my throat letting them know I am present. He looks me and his eyes light up. He comes over to me and kisses me.

"Liv what are you doing here?"

"I missed my boyfriend." I talk loud making sure the girl can hear me.

"So I brought some lunch figured you could use it"

"You bet I could."  He kisses me again

The girl gets up and walks down stairs I notice that she sits at my desk.

"My replacement?"

"No your fill in, no one can replace you."

He takes the food setting it on the table. As he grabs us drinks. I take the food out the back setting the table with it. Elliot comes back.

-Elliot's POV-

"What's her name?"

"Jade Hadley"

"You like her?"

I knew exactly where this was going. I look up from my food after I finish chewing I laugh

"She's okay, good at her job. But no one beats you"

I wink at her smiling then go back to eating. I try my best to keep her mind off of her fill in.

Once we finished eating I take her hand as we walk down the stairs when we reach the bottoms her face tenses up and her hand tightens around mine

"Liv? What's wrong?"

I look down to see that there is water on the floor, and look back up at her

"I think my water just broke"
