Again guys I'm Australian and this is how we spell it so please don't "correct" me. (Eg: *mommy, or 'that's not how you spell that') thanks! :)

"Mummy, I'm scared" my daughter whispered to me as we hid in a the closet,
"It's okay" I said giving her a quick hug, "quiet now, I think he's coming".

We sat in silence listening to the quiet thumps of footsteps from elsewhere in the house. My heart raced as the footsteps came closer. He must have noticed that we were here, maybe we didn't hide well enough.
My hands began to shake, I clenched my fists so my daughter didn't notice my nerves, he was coming closer and closer, I could hear him opening and closing things in other rooms, it was about to all be over.

"Are you ready" I whispered,
My daughter got into position ready to burst out of the closet

The footsteps came into the room and stopped in front of the closet, the doors slowly opened.

I was so proud, my daughter burst out of the closet and rammed the knife right into his stomach, it was all over.
As his blood spilled around him I sighed, it was a shame, his carpet was so nice.
